Any body know about the toyota belta car? Is it good to have? How is the performance??

American version is known as the Yaris too.

Yeah it is the Japanese Domestic model of Yaris (Though it is so called Belta). And for the surprise this same car so called Toyota Belta\ Yaris in Japan\ SL, is sold in Singapore and Thailand with the name "Toyota Vios" (So when we refer to Singapore and Thailand, it is not wrong to call this car the "New Model of Vios" since it has been started manufacturing as the new generation Vios recently, after discontinuing the manufacturing of the common Vios model we see everyday in Sri Lankan roads. And as far as I know, both the Japanese Belta and the Singaporean & Thai Vios models have 1.5L VVTI engines where the Yaris available in Sri Lanka comes with a 1.3L VVTI engine. Again in USA, this is called Yaris but with the 1.5L engine.

If I made you confused a bit, sorry for it. The facts are clearly shown in short note format below.

Sri Lanka = Yaris (1.3L VVTi engine)

Japan = Belta (1.5L VVTi engine)

Thailand and Singapore = Vios (1.5L VVTi engine)

USA = Yaris (1.5L VVTi engine)

In all the above models, the make is purely "Toyota" , the body is exactly the same, but the engines differ as well as the interior options may differ from model to model based on their grades. (Example: the Japanese Belta should definitely have more options than the Yaris sold in Sri Lanka.
