well you should be able to get a decent Maruti or a used Alto for that price if you don't mind going for an Indian car

or else you can look for a Toyota corolla ae100, civic eg8 vtec, nissan FB13... a Mini in very good nick???

Well, if Fuel efficiency is a must AE100 will be a good buy. Got decent looks & space too.

You can buy a 02 door TOYOTA STARLAT EP91 Y.O.M.1996/97 full option car for between 1-1.1 mil.

It is very fuel efficent and has a good pulling power in this class.

One of relations sold his two door car for 1075000Rs few months back. (Number plate is GD )
