Does anyone know of the performance figures (0-100kmph & top speed) of the Nissan Pulsar VZR? Can it out run the old Pulsar GTiR?

Like to know the same of the Nissan Primera Camino 2.0l.

Without checking, I seriously doubt it. GTiRs produce in the range of 250bhp (from memory) and is a 2.0l Turbo. VZ-R is 175bhp 1.6l. Add to that advantege all-wheel drive on the GTiR vs FWD on the VZ-R.

I love the Primera Caminos too, but I doubt it could run with the smaller lighter GTiR or the VZR.

Heck, they didn't call the GTiR the "baby Skyline" for nothing ;)

Quarter mile: 14.89s

for the VZR. Apparently top speed is 180kmph limited. Which I have reached, and is as far as the meter shows. But has plenty more to give. These times for the N1. 200hp.

Stats for the GTiR courtsey global car

0-60mph: 6.1 s

0-100mph: 17.7 s

Quarter mile: 15.10s

Kilometre: 27.60s

Top speed: 216 km/h

Why its faster to 60 but slower on the 1/4 mile, I have no idea ;)

no way will a primera beat any of these cars even wit a handicap...its power to weight is poor...jus over 100bhp per tonne compared to 180bhp per tonne on the VZ-R N1 and even more on the GTiR

No I don't. Kicking it too much leads to poor fuel economy, and I get only 7 when I'm careful. Since I did my 180 run I only cruise at between 2k-3k rpm on CBK. Which translates to 80-95kmph, roughly.

And I doubt Mivec practices there. Just tuning. U don't practice for circuit races by running up and down straight roads :)

i thought that your car has a ECU installed to it if so won't that take off your 180 limiter :jumping-smiley-013: not sure this is what i've heard from guys whose havin racing ecu's in cars. :jumping-smiley-013:

in CBK i saw a mitsubishi practicing with red garage plate around 3.00 - 4.00pm on sunday i was in CBK at that time.

From my recolection there were a few variants of the GTiR. And the last edition was said to have a 0-60 of about 5.5 secs.

Well, meter only goes to 180 :D Need to see what I can do about that.

Hey preveen machan can u change the whole meter panel on ur car? Like the option's on the STi's where u can get the 240 km/h meter off the shelf in japan....u could get the original N1 meter's for ur car...that'll be awesome...

Yep it is....think about it dude... that would really complete ur car i guess... btw preveen what do u estimate the VzR can do without the limiter? u said that there was enough rev's when u hit 180 nuh?? u think it can push to around 220??

Probably. around 6k-6.5k on the 4th, I think. (Or was it 5th?) Chang was right in saying tall ratios in the gears. Def 200. maybe 220.

hey mate do you know if the pulser N14 dash would fit ur car.

that seems to be missing a tach. :D I need the tach. But I have no idea if it'll fit. If it'll fit the N15, then proabably will fit mine.

Ya u need the tachometer for sure....unless u fit those meters and buy a autometer or defi tach with the shift light...hehe...

machan your's is white dials & the N14 GTiR meters might fit yours

Mate I know about the GTiR very well. Its been a dream car of mine. I always think of getting one when my financing is ok.

I think that the GTiR is more heavier than the VZR due to its bigger engine & 4wd system. So no wonder its slow in the 1/4mile. But if what you say about the VZR performance is based on the 200bhp then will it be ok for me to think the performance to be in the 7.0sec region.

Sorry I didn't want to know about the Primera against the GTiR or the VZR. I just wanted to know the 0-100kmph figures. I think the 2.0litre GT does it in around 8.2secs with only 150bhp. So I'm imagining the Camino 2.0litre with 190bhp to be better than that.

not too sure abt its figures dude cos there's jus a handful of em here...shud definitly b in the 7's though...u mentioned the GT so i assume ur in the uk...wild guess?i didnt knw u guys get the primera SR20VE there...btw not all the primera camino's come wit 190bhp so look out for it n i assume u'r alrite wit a CVT trans

Well I'm living in Sri Lanka. :D does nayone know of a website that I can check the above out? I'm GTiR freak so wanna find out about them also I got a friend of mine in office with whom I argue regarding performance of cars.

p.s. I work for a car company so most of the time we check out performance :)

well jus google the GTiR and u'll find plenty of aussi n kiwi websites abt that car...very popular in that region

Or even on this site. Check the Nissan section for the Pulsar VZR N1 thread, and look for EVLDAN's site. A N14 Pulsar GTi to GTiR conversion. Other than the AWD system, that is.

Just thought I'd add my 2c worth here....

No those N14 dials wont fit into an N15 (and vice a versa because of size and electronics)

The VZ-R's (incl N1 version) only came out with those stupid JDM 180kph dials BUT there is an upgrade option for you Pericles!

You could try and source a NZ or Australian spec SSS speedo guage (not the rev part as it has a lower red line) but you can pull that 180kph part out and slot this in because they are in the same style (font and white) and read to 240kph! I THINK these bolt in and don't require any calibration but don't quote me on that.

This picture isn't the greatest because of the ricey gauges but it goes well past the 180kph of our cars (it's an Aussie S2 SSS)

Maybe even an Almera GTi dash is white and will fit?...actually no, that will be in MPH not KPH!
