Hi,

Here they are for 235/50/18. I am looking for better tread wear and comfort for my daily driver with value for money. Its for a Hyundai Tucson. List is not prioritised.

Bridgestone Turanza GR-80 - Rps 27,000

Bridgestone Dueler HP D680 - Rps 27,000

Kumho Ecsta SPT KU31 - Rps 26,000

Kumho Solus KH15 - Rps 24,000

Falken ZE512 - Rps 23,000

Nankang AS1 - Rps 20,000

What would you pick ? I am leaning towards the Kumho Solus.

Thanks.

MAS are you sure all of these tyres are suitable for a 4x4 ? (I'm thinking Turanza and ECSTA)

Bridgestone Dueler HP D680 - Rps 27,000

this is possibly the best tyre but from an value for money point of view I would go with

Kumho Solus KH15 - Rps 24,000 (If it is the Korean version)

Falken ZE512 - Rps 23,000 (if it is the Japanese version)

was about to ask the same - cuz even the AS1 isn't a SUV tire but rather passenger CAR tire afaik

Also have look at BG Goodridge's Macadam  series

Michelin have some amazing road biased SUV tires which were ridiculously expensive the last time i checked but worth a lok anyway

last but not least don't for get the Yokohama Geolander & Goodyear Wranglers

look for a road biased tire series but made for SUV use - i wouldn't recommend the tires that you've put us seeing as most are quite simply car tires

Thanks for the feedback.

I do not go off road - strictly normal driving and my Tuc is a 2WD.

I have also checked the loading capacity and all listed tires are within specs.

Cheers.

There is a very disturbing humm generated from the front tyres. This is a 4WD Tucson which does much of the driving on poorly paved roads. The humm is very prominent when driving on carpet roads.

After a lot of inspections the agents told to replace the tyre as the grove depth, tread pattern and wear resulted in the noise. Any suggestions?

Bridgestone are the best

The Bridgestone tyre tread pattern is not recommended and its more grooved than Dunlop tyres.

Originally it was Kumho, then changed in to Dunlop. Now it is a Michelin set. The car has done only 125000 Km.

When the tires do around 25,000 the humm becomes more audible.
