JUST LOOK AT THE PRICE DIFFERENCE BTW SAME MODEL MONTEROS $8800 MEANS CLOSE TO RS.900,000/= THE ONE IN US IS A 2002, LK 2000. LK PEOPLE PAY 4,000,000+ OR MORE FOR THE SAME THING. THAT'S A RIP OFF BY THE SL GOV'T.

i think the real reason for this is the cost of keeping a car running in sl is minute compared to what it would be in a western country. and we also have an ample supply of parts from japan. so we can keep these cars going forever.

Actually, its because car owners here are a non-vocal minority as such they are a soft target/cash cow, when it comes to setting policy, the powers that be, know that we can be counted to bend over and take it..
