Today I went in to Staffords and spoke to the head foreman(Kusumsiri) he agreed to repair certain parts which they originally wanted to replace (door and hood) and to use recon parts if I source them(mirror, fender, bumper and headlight). I thought this was the best option as I have been assured that the agents are the best people to do the job. Guess apart from the relative hassle of hunting for the parts at Delkanda this makes sense yeah?

Hi Rebel, if you can find used door and hood and other parts and Stafford agreed to fix them, Insurence should pay the total cost (only some taxes or stamp duties or stuff will reduced from total cost)

Only reason Insurence company to not to pay total estimate is use of brand new parts. I was thinking agents does not allow us to give them used parts. So I think you should be able explain this to Aviva and get it done.

If you gonna source fender, bumper, headlight .. why not try hood and door too?

@Peri, didn't try Kenzo. Do they use recon parts without me having to provide them and will they maintain quality (at least in the finish). CRC is in Jaela right?

I dunno. I've only seen pictures of their works, never been there. The quality of the finish looks pretty good. IIRC there is an FB group with pictures. CRC is, I think, Seeduwa. The old Formula World center.

Hi Guys

Need a bit if urgent advice.

Met with a accident last week and the left front fender, fron bumper, left headlight, left side mirror, mudguard need to be replaced. Tinkering required for the hood, door and other fender. Some work maybe required for the suspension as per Staffords. There estimate is 445K cos they billed for new doors, hood, mirros etc(and painting). My cost will be about 85-90K after insurance.

Please advice if you guys know anywhere\anybody within colombo. I can run around hunting for parts as I will be in hospital from tomo for surgery to fix broken cheekbone and nose!

Appreciate your help.

Rebel, i dont think agents and insurance will take you anywhere better since thats not a good combination. i recommend you to go to CRC seeduwa. talking with my personal experience. there wont be any hassel for you to run around to look for spare parts and they can restore your car as per original specs.
