Mini 5 Speed Gearbox

Hi all, I just want to know if i can find a 5 speed manual gearbox. Last night i tried to hit about 140-150 but i maxed out at 115 or 120. Do you guys know a place to find a 5 speed box and will it increase the speed?

Mini 5 speed boxes are very rare.Dont think you'll ever find one for sale in SL.

MiniSpeed and MiniSpares UK are selling after market 5boxes and 5 dog boxes.Price starting 2000 pounds,You can buy a Mini for that price.

I remember your car is an Automatic...You cant replace only the gearbox,you need to change the whole engine,Gerabox and the subframe.

then you'll probably be looking at the same costs again. how about you change the final drive? ...if its possible on fwd automatics

Best thing to do is to put a 1300efi manual unit which you can hit 140 - 150 easily.

as others pointed out it is not worth loking for a 5Spd box or the super charger

i have never driven an auto mini, but in my 1000 manual i can hit about 115km/h in 3rd

Mate you need to manage the drive ratio,power produce both to touch 140 mark.Not easy on a stock Auto babe.A good mechanic,a good budget and patience required.Ready?

Yes.Top end drive margin is always limited by the box.You can achieve a bit more...not worth in your case.Best I suggest you swap the car,than molesting your auto babe.
