Proton Gen2...are They Good?????

are proton's good???

i found out that proton gen2 goes for ~1.5mil which has a new engine and low millage,,,and gives a classy look.,,specially the interior.

so what do u think guys???

is it reliable ???hows the fuel-con?after sales?cheap spares???

my budget is ~1.2....but since its a new machine can go up to 1.5...

is it worth going for the buy or stick to my old option which is an EK3(old engine,high millage,moderate fuel-con)???

please feel free to share your ideas...

sorry dude.... i dont think any1 wud sell it for 1.2mn...

mine is a 1300cc (has a beat muffler installed) Manual - it does 8km/L in colombo and 12-13km/L outstation...

parts are not very cheap cos you'll have to stick to the Genuine stuff.... u dont get too many ppl gettin parts down for this model...

but the company is the cheapest if u wanna compare among the spare part sellers for the Gen2

after 3 years! but still if some one is looking for better power,its honda JDM.

Gen2 110bhp

ek3 exi 105bhp

ek3 vi 135 bhp

other JDM ek3's such as SiR or Type R's will not fit in to this price range i suppose

i have ask this same question in other tread also, bt it was 2006 tread so i thought its better to publish it here, more newer tread,

i come across this car, looks good in shape. so i just want to clear out few things here :-)

1. YOM 2005 Car, would it worth 1.7M, with Mileage 65K, No repairs so far and interair/exterior looks okay, 2nd owner. so is this price justified considering with current market price ?

i have found many same model cars for sale with same millage 60K or some thing very near,I heard that timing belt need to be change at 80k,:-) is there any connection with the timing belt changing and quick sale cars around 60k millage. :-D
