Nishan.dj

Question

Hi guys..

I just searched on google to know how to wax or polish an old vehicle.. Though I don't know about how to do that I wanted to learn.. So these links found... http://www.castrol.com/castrol/genericarti...ntentId=6004059 and http://www.glareeurope.com/visartikkel.asp?art=259

If anyone of you know at least a bit about waxing or polishing please update.. Also please indicate what are the best products (wax/polish/...). Thanks in advance...

I've been using Eagle Nanowax for a couple of years now, and am really happy with the finish. It comes with a microfiber polishing cloth, and I purchased it from Arpico.

Thanks for your post Az. But please tell me is there a difference between polishing and waxing. You buying it from Arpico super market & there a manual coming with Nanowax ? Thanks again.

Hey all..

I used eagle one nano wax before and it was a good experience compared with other products, but not even close to meguiars wax/polishes. I got it down from amazon -US and it costs as the same price as eagle's nano wax. Quality is superb.

Hey

Thanks for the info. But how much is it? I mean nano wax. I search and found http://www.eagleone.com/pages/products/category.asp?cid=5010 url that they sell those products.. Hope it is the same.

When I checked the price of Meguiars at Motorcade, it was Rs. 4500! More than double the price of nanowax.

Polish is an abrasive cleaner for your car's paint, while wax is just a protectant coat.

You should polish your car whenever it has imperfections, embedded dirt, or pollution discoloration. Polish is mildly abrasive (some are more abrasive than others), and this is why it restores shine. Polish can also help reduce the appearance of small scratches by getting foreign particles out of the paint. Before polishing, it is best to remove any wax on the car by washing it with dishwashing liquid.

After polishing, you should wax your car to protect that shine. Do NOT wash the car with dishwashing liquid unless you are going to wax it again immediately, because this will remove all the protectant wax.

When I checked the price of Meguiars at Motorcade, it was Rs. 4500! More than double the price of nanowax.
