0 rangerover
Not sure if its common to all vvti's but my corolla 2003, being a vvti has timing chain. By looking at the engine you probably can check it!

0 virensti
About a week back I saw a mark 2 at a garage getting it's timing belt replaced. VVT-i engine as well. So I'm pretty sure it's a belt. You best confirm it with Toyota. And btw, consider buying the belt and razers from Toyota, the car I saw had got it from there and it was cheaper than another well known place in rajagiriya. 0 miniace
Mine is corolla 122. 1zz-FE engine and the how the timing works is by a chain and not by a belt so no need to replace it in 100,000 kms Here we talk about Mark II and 1G engine. Only 1GFE engine is VVTi of all 1G engines, I guess. So Malaka2's engine is timing belt. MINIACE
