Bike Vibrating When Accelerating

Hi bikers,

Since recently, I'm experiencing heavy vibration when raising the engine or accelerating beyond 40kmph. What can be the problem? Any ideas.

Thanks

Az

what's the bike? the vibration...say if you were to rev the motor up in neutral....do you still get it?

like Yala had said...if the bike is running lean and starving for fuel...you can get this kinda vibration!

If the motor is starving for air and can't breath properly, this can happen

but in both instances...performance should drop drastically! it should have poor acceleration especially in mid to high rev range...bike should be bad in puling!

engine vibration can also come from internal mechanical issues of the motor!

It is a Bajaj Pulsar, a regular bike I use for commuting to work, nothing fancy :)

Yes, it was vibrating even when revving it up on neutral... the bike become really shaky after 60kmph. I gave it for repairs today, and will be collecting it in the evening. They say that the clutch balancer had to be replaced. I will update this thread once I get the bike back.

Thanks Ripper & Yala

can possibly be the case then...there's a counter balancer to eliminate vibration as the engine is turning...

Yes, that was the problem. They managed to repair it, and didn't have to replace it.

But Mr. Silvy Wijesinghe will be thrilled to find out that even in this era, there are mechanics who can repair these items instead of replacing them/ LOL :D

well lets leave that gentleman alone.

it's a huge generation gap issue and pointless arguing about it :)
