Hi @AVANTE I saw you comprehensive answer on Peugeot 406. So I submit a question and if you could, could you have a look on my post(· 0 replies
) I would like to have your opinion on that. So my obvious choice was Peugeot 406 D9 diesel one. but what i heard was, probability of some one selling it due to considerable issues, and it has hard time of reselling and repairing and spare pats finding and cost may considerably high. Seeking advice on this.

Chinese are going to take over the automobile industry for sure. Tesla who was considered ground braking is shying away from the promised small EV and moving to Taxi cars as the competition is too strong. Then comes Chery with this small EV SUV. I was watching a Yangwang U8 struggling to make it up a muddy hill on Youtube. I was wondering why cant an EV be more capable off road than an ICE vehicle. Given the fact that this behemoth has 4 individual motor on each wheel it should be able to direct power to the wheel that has more grip and stop power to the slipping wheel. Couple of months back speedometer of my AE100 stopped working, initially it was displaying a low speed (ex: when I'm driving at about 60Km/h it was displaying like 40Km/h) and now it is 0 Km/h always. Odometer is also now showing a wrong distance. For example when I travel about 100 Km it shows 50 -60 Kms.
Strange but similar problem with the RPM as well, When the engine is running about 4000 RPM it displays ~2000RPM.
When I show this to a reputed (having a famous name) garage, they told me the whole panel with all the meters needs to be replaced and it will cost me around 10000 - 12000. Another garage investigated the problem and told that it is a problem with one of the sensors and it needs to be replaced (but they didn't have parts).
Does anybody come across some thing like this? Any good place to go and check/fix this thing?
