Changing The Normal Exhaust To Beat Exhaust

I have a idea to change the Exhaust to the beat Exhaust (Silencer) of my mazda familia 2002 model (vvt) car. Can anyone tell me, there will be any problem with the fuel efficiently.

So I need your kind assistance to fulfill my requirement !

Yes, there will be an increase in fuel consumption. May I ask the objective of you changing the exhaust..?

I have changed mine to a straight thru exhaust.

Go for a straight thru as mentioned by Bugatti.....Engine will give better response to acceleration

Straight thru Reduce Back pressure caused by normal muffler.

Yeah Sometimes will increase the fuel consumption.The differance will be about half a Km less (Depends on the way one drives)

ok first of all please dont use the word beat exhaust.. becuase those will give just a sound cost u petrol and more.. try to get a good performance straight though exhaust as bugati mentioned.. if u want the true performance and sound u kinda need to change the piping and diameter too..

try to get a good brand and install.. i have a HKS backbox.. but i think u can buy some TRUST ones too from here...

belive me u will feel the differnce at higher RPM's depending on ur engine set up..

Loads of sweet albeits and myths involved exhaust modifications, Free-flowing exhausts and beat exhausts.But the gospel truth is nearly all mods cause to increase the fuel consumption since causing a loss of low-RPM torque.

I have reasons to believe that a nicely tailored free-flowing exhausts increase peak hp since the flow is straight and free of obstacles like Cat cons and mufflers .This removal of Cat cons will for sure effect the emmision levels and may face difficulties when it comes to VET.

Some argue that decreased back pressure lowers the engine vacuum which raises the fuel pressure and cause the fuel pump work harder resulting fails and decreasing life.Im not really sure of this but believe a good point.

It is extremely important to maintain the factory diameters of the pipes.This will reduce the effects on bad fuel consumption figures.

Its always nice to have a loud exhaust but car should have atleast a bit of a sporty look else will sound and look odd ne.

Well, imo any exhaust muffler "barrel" is a straight thru, as long as it's inner piping is straight and allow for the air to flow straight out of the exhaust pipes, without using any bends or silencing passages like regular silencer type mufflers. And mostly the difference among branded ones and the ones wrapped with tin cans are the volume of the noise they make, when you get a cheap one it would be noisy, would be fun to attract attention but after sometime you would find it annoying, so tz better if you could find a recondition, decent branded one the first time, rather than buying both, like i did
