i have a feeling that your not looking for a performance boost for the corrolla...

....anyways go to elacardo and install a beat(or cabbage) silencer and make yours a "sportscar"

hey hey... any car that has a loud pipe is a sports car by default! :)

OT

I happen to overtake a certain riced sedan super car last week in negombo rd and the super car owner didn't like that one bit.

He chased me down and overtook me nearly hitting two other vehicles.

I was in a hurry to get to Negombo so chased the sportscar since he was clearing the road for me :)

Again the sportscar owner didn't like the fact he couldn't outrun me in his super car. :P Mind you i too wasn't putting my life on the line and driving like he did! :P

He turned off from from the main road towards the airport giving me the birdie :D :D :D

Lame retards think a loud pipe and a "certain" model of a car can get them to be the fastest on the road :D :D

My sympathies to those fools! :D

Dude,

IMO. AE100's don't go with beat silencers / bodykits / vinyls etc etc.. It's an 'executive saloon' car, and why don't you leave that appearance as is???

I appreciate that it's your car and you have the authority to cut it half and drive if you want to, but if you go in an Ae100 with a "beat" silencer (BTW silencers are fitted to make the car silent ha! never mind) I would look at you as I would do towards a person driving a 3 wheeler with a sticker saying 4WD.

Looking at my user ID you might be able to understand why I'm telling you this.. :-)

well i too have the ae 1OO sprinter se.

only thing i would do is maybe slap a set of alloys on...

a proper straight through pipe would get you a bit hp and some power on higher rev band!

personally i wouldn't hook a fart canon up just to make noise and look like an attention whore! :P

Machang, congrats on your decision. Make sure you get a 4 or 6 inch barrel at the back. The AE100 is the ideal platform, for such great mods. It will look awesome and sound even better. Go for it.

Even when i first looked at the AE100, i thought to myself it would look really wacked out :action-smiley-060: when modified. But after seeing these guys cars on the track, i was blown away...

now thats uncalled for...as you very well know there are a lot of people who use their honda's decently,every brand attracts it's fair share of ricers(though admittedly most of them have eg8's)...but there's no need to generalise.

FYI there's a BMW 3 series in madampe with a huge bodykit and fart cannon beatroot barrrel and a trd sticker on it's winshield

Yeah I have seen it.. in fact there are quite a few out there... :) To each his own, I say!

What I gave were words of encouragement. Back in the day even I had a 3" Fujitsubo fixed.

Wow.. That's some cool stuff mate. It's awesome if we can come up to this level of performance mods. I'd definitely consider my car too. But what'll happen in SL is that the car will be cut and chopped from a few places to destroy its identity, and the result will be neither an executive car nor a sports.. (a 'P' car).

Dilruk - Why don't you first add some alloys and may be a matching spoiler (think twice / thrice on the spoiler design) and see if it becomes the sporty thing you expect?

Ok, to redeem myself....

The AE100 is a lovely car. Do not mess with the exhausts and engine in that car. In its stock form its an absolute performer. Ripper has one and I have driven it and it's great. But you can give it a good paint job. Silver/Grey with a high gloss clear coat will make it look really sleek. Also make sure you get a really nice set of alloys. Slapping on beat barrels and what not will only make the car look cheap and will be hard to sell. IMHO, stay away from outrageous spoilers. In our roads the spoiler does absolutely nothing in terms of performance.

The reason some of us are harsh when it comes to these outrageous mods is because most of them are just tasteless and more athan anything an eyesore. But then, its a matter of personal opinion.

yeah maan..i too own a AE110 and i was in the process of installing a spoiler and some dashkit mods at the beginning....but thanks to the guys from AL,they guided me the right path..

you see,,the aprinter's/corolla's over here have a good resale value and most of the buyers expect a simple a-b,decent,stock level car which is in good condition...so if your gona sell it after a few years back why reduce the chances?

as everyone suggested a rim set would be ideal and more attractive though it would cost you more than a muffler!!!and i think that beat barrels increase fuel the consumption too(correct me if m wrong)...

but once again its your car and your decision..have fun...

Why is it called a beat barrel (only in SL, I think). I for one do not feel like dancing when I hear them.
