hey guys,im looking 2 buy a Honda ek 3 & having budget of Rs1.4Mn .I gained better knowledge 4m the forum except following points,

-VVT / EXI/ VTEC/ FERIO Wht is best buy in terms of ;

-Fuel economy

-Market value

it seems vehicle prices are on upward trend these weeks. I found a EK3 Ferio /Auto/1997/Reconditioned/Full option /302-**** for Rs.1.4MN is it worth? (Is in good condition)

i seek the advices of honda Expertees,thx in advance.

Bro whuz this VVT ? u must be mentioning VTi ? its da ASIAN Mid Range Vtec spec...this is called the VTi and the asian top of the range is called VTi-S (this trim grade is for ES serires..) but for the EG series VTi is the JDM vtec model...

the best configuration would be ek3 civic ferio with 3 stage vtec. therfor it has to be ek3 vi.

I'm no expert but,

VVT - Afaik it means variable valve timing.

EXI - That's a trim designation.

VTEC - Honda's camshaft profiling system.

FERIO - A designation that came for JDM Civics.

Haven't used a Civic so dunno about fuel economy. The price you've mentioned for the EK3 Ferio you found seems fair enough. But the best thing is to go through Autolanka classifieds or the newspapers and check how much other similar cars go for.

brother, vi never came with non vtec engines. the seller is trying to fool you by showing yu the vi sticker.

option number 3 is the best out of above. but make sure its not just the sticker.

Yes I have seen Feiro badge but no Vi sticker. Ferio is for JDM not for VTEC as far as I know, so there can be JDM none VTEC Civics.

But any one can put any stickers and badges, so only way to identify a Vi/Vti EK3 is the 2 VTEC selonoids

yeah ferio non vtec version is availble. 1.4 million seems worth and i suppose its auto and not cvt box.

ferio versions of ek3 cm as mi or ml mate ..got most of d fetures of vi except d vtec engine n gear box.( dual air bags ext cms in)

Yes bro.. v have non VTEC Ferio..which comes with D15Z4 engine..but with 3 way catalytic converter..which is badged as LEV...some times though the ferio might not have a VTEC engine..but it some times comes with a CVT or MMT (Multimatic) gear box..basically everything as per JDM user specification.

yep. its from late 98 to 00. ferio vi was the JDM highest grade which was later upgraded to Virs.

If this is 99-00 YOM with Air bags then worth for that price. Only thing check the service records and take it to stafford and see the gear box condition.

Its with 02 Air bags ,driver & Passenger.YOM is 1997 & registered here in 2000.milege 120+ & no.is 302-****.

It seems to be a good buy provided a perfect CVT gear box. (if the gear box is CVT)
