Wurth Injector Cleaner

Hey Guys,

Did anyone used this to clean your injectors and Fuel system ...

http://www.wurth.co.uk/product-0893560.php

I asked my mechanic to clean my efi system and he asked me to Bring This.

are there anyone who used this before?

i use it about 2-3 times an year.... you don't really need a mechanic to use this cos you're supposed to add this...top up the tank and run until the product slowly cleans your entire fuel system.

however...in my experience...this alone wont keep your throttle body and injectors clean...

I do throttle body clean up and manual injector clean up when necessary despite using this product.

but then again...they advise to use it every service so maybe that's the reason i needed direct intervention

also...there's another product by wurth where you spray-in the injector cleaner straight into the throttle body.

possibly that's the one your mechanic wanted cos you need to remove the air intake to access the throttle body opening to use this

I think it may be around Rs. 2750 - 3500.

direct spray on is more expensive but it can be used many times over.

The fuel system cleaner was much cheaper and i'm pretty sure it's less than 2k.... if not lesser!

used this back in 2003 or so when they were introducing products and giving them on 2 months credit basis for every possible garage in Colombo. Superb product and it revived the 1C engine then my 504 had unbelievably. Good product and by all means try it out.

it'll positively contribute towards pulling power. I didn't notice any difference in fuel consumption, after all it was diesel and I didn't bothered to check :D. However, increasing pulling power means you can manage to save some drops using your skills.

My lady (BHALP - 1.5L, manual) also does same. This is average in Colombo city limits. After the tuneup I can feel the good pulling power with AC.

ah yes... eachtime i pump 95, or ad fuel system cleaner, changed into iridiums...felt a noticeable increase in performance... also called placebo effect :P

on a more serious nore... i'm sure there's an effect but i must be minute...

especially if the car wasn't in too bad shape in the first place...

I got manual Injector cleaning n Throttle body cleaning for better economy. Mine was working 8-8.5 k/L.

Now waiting for the new result.

Car got good performance n pick-up after cleaning.

Got it done in a place "Thalangama Koswatta". They even use the recommended machine which is used to clean the injectors.

Got my Nissan's Injectors cleaned at the same place two weeks back, along with the throttle body.

They are one of only two places in the country that does Ultra Sonic injector cleaning.

Pretty pleased with the results. Low end pulling power and smoothness has improved considerably.

Open the cap, remove the foil, pour the contents inside the bottle in to the fuel tank, then pump full tank of petrol/diesel.

Dispose of the empty bottle and the cap and the foil in a responsible manner.

Make sure you use the correct injector cleaner. Dont put diesel cleaner in to petrol tank and vice versa,.
