Dear Experts

Please tell me to VIOS prices these days

Hmm... I think still the prices should be around 2.5mil for a very good condition 2004 model... I saw couple of ads in 2.8 margin but think current market price should be below 2.5... Any ideas...

I think it should come down to 2.0Mn (2003) I hope it will

Well it almost came to 3.0Mn before the tax reduction was introduced... So I don’t think it will go down in 1.0Mn... Prices should be clearly over 2.2Mn....

Before the artificial manipulation of the 2nd hand market, a Vios was in the range of 2.5 ~ 2.7 Mn

I checked few 2004 ones... They were all around 2.6 - 2.8... I too think this should come down to around 2.2 odd

Those 3 are in different price rangers and hence not a substitute to each other. Allion is the priciest and then comes the 121 and finally the Vios. Both Allion and 121 are specious than the Vios and more comfortable as well. Vios has the better fuel consumption compared to 121 and Allion. Performance and handling is far better in Allion compaired to Vios and 121. Vios is more prone to suspension problems than other two. But I agree with you… I like the looks of the Vios than other two. And its maintenance cost is cheep too…

I also heard about Vios suspension problems before I bought my Vios, but its been 3 years now, and I haven't had any suspension problems to date.

Agree with you Az... I have several close friends who are very happy owners of Vios and they have no complains on suspensions as well... May be it’s all a rumor... :) It’s a good value for money car…

Fizzi, I don’t have exact figures… But fuel consumption of a car has little to do with weight and aerodynamics of the car, as all of these 3 cars have VVT-i NZ engines as far as I know fuel consumption can’t have a significant different. All that matters is tires and the way you drive...

Roughly…

A auto gear 1.5 Allion will give you around 8-9 city and 11 km outstation per liter

while a 121 could go up to 11 city and 13 outstation

and a Vios could do 12-13 city and 15 km outstation

Thanks Napster for your kind thoughts. So I guess its better to go for a vios but i have driven vios but its lighter in weight compared to the other 2 cars specified, but then I still think as per you folks it's still better to go for a vios, but referred to your fuel consumptions, I got 10 ven i drove my uncles car, but then i throttled more to get more power might be thats the out come. ;-)

Anywayz thanks for you kind concern mate.

What do you mean 'could' ?

have you got those figures?

I think you're being over ambitious <_<

I have got 14-16 on long trips & a max of 11 in Colombo. Average in Colombo is 9-10.

Haven't checked outstation myself.

Colombo I get the same range... but never above 11 in the traffic... 12-13 is a bit over stated

No guys believe me… I happened to use a Vios like 6 months back and it was a 2004 model with manual gears... A well maintained vehicle… It did 13+ km with AC in Colombo… I didn’t have a chance to see how much it did outstation but I guess it must be at least 15… It all depends on how you drive and the condition of the vehicle. If a manual Vios did 13+ shouldn’t a auto one do at least 12? Correct me if I am wrong here…

"Vios has the better fuel consumption compared to 121 and Allion" ?????

Ya consumption is high :P But the economy wise the best to worst are :

1. Allion

2. 121

3. Vios
