yes, less resale value too bt very reliable as a daily runner.good on fuel and less maintainence with regular services.

The Soluna is not Japanese made is it?

seems to fall apart or more so, wear badly compared to other older Toyotas

Think of the PLATZ as the sedan of VITZ (see? the names go together) Vitz is a hatchback and fairly much lighter than a platz and still for me, it feels underpowered I reckon platz being a sedan should be a little heavier than the vitz so no wonder that it will have low pulling power especially with 5 adults in the car.

The problem with a heavy car having a small engine is that it won't accelerate as much as you want to, when you want it to. Which makes you floor the accelerator pedal which in turn wasts fuel and still wont be able to move as much as you want it to. For me that is torture. (I once drew a 1.3ltr Sunny, and it was horrible. You literally have to push it to overtake a long vehicle like a bus.) I have no experience with Platz though. Would like to test drive one though.
