using a 97 B'new CK2 for about a year, drove about 15000km up to now, currently ODO stands at 70k. so far no issues at all. Comfort and handling is great compared to most popular brands with high re sale value.

have seen advertisements asking for 1 to 1.5 mil based on the condition and YOM

there is no inherent feature called "worth to buy"... it all depends on how the cars specs/features/condition/price match your needs and budget...

if you can jump from 2000 Lancer to 2007 March within a day then I think you need to spend a bit more time figuring out what you really want!

My budget is 1.5M. So I was looking for a car that fitted to that amount. Suddenly one of my friends told me, he can bring down a 2007 Nissan march for that amount. Thats why I asked from you guys. Im not an expert.

Car for < 1.5m is not specific enough for anyone to help you with... how big a car do you need (how big/tall are you and how many people do you expect to carry in it)? do you need a car that's cheap and easy to maintain? what level of engine do you need? manual/auto or don't care? what kind of "prestige" factor do you need? could there be any emergencies in your life that you would need to sell the car within 2 hours?

We had a K11, and while you could fit 4 people, you wouldn't want to do it very often (cramped, poor pickup on 1l engine and low ground clearance). K12 has bit more space but I don't have enough experience to compare.

nissans and toyotas tend to be cheap to maintain because there is a lot of used/duplicate parts available. If you would use such parts, they can mean cheap maintenance in the short term (but in the long term I think you're better off to use original parts... and in that case prices are not much different to other brands.)

I think your best option - if you are not in a desperate hurry to buy - is to go check out some vehicles, go on a test ride, etc. sellers will point out features and you can evaluate how useful it is for your needs...

It always boils down to this, doesn't it :action-smiley-060:

How much driving do you plan to do a month anyway?

And remember that small cars / small engines doesn't necessarily mean better fuel economy... that damn K11 never did better than 8-9 in City limits
