1999 Honda Civic Keyless Entry

Hey guys,

After getting frustrated with the after market keyless entry and security system on my civic I went ahead and ripped the module out of the car. I was wondering, since this car has central locking and keyless entry was optional is there any way of the original keyless entry module and using the original remotes? does anybody know where I could find a module and a remote programmed to it? I've done this before for a different car but i've never worked on a civic before.

Could be a long shot, but since I believe you live in the states, you will probably be able to pick this up for cheap from a salvage yard. Best not buy it online used as there's really no way of making sure it won't be DOA

Well I actually moved back here and I won't be in the states till december. My wife's still there so I guess I can just order it from a salvage yard that I know pretty well and have my wife bring it to me when she gets back. Would really like to get the part from a place in Sri Lanka but I guess I have an option if all else fails.
