Increasing ???

I think it'll be a big mistake to raise the taxes. People who can easily afford and desperate for a new car has already bought one by now. People who are on the hunt for cars now are the ones who were on two minds due to various reasons (finances been one). If there's a tax hike it'll drive the market price even higher and the above mention group of buyers will end up re re-thinking their desire for a new car thus driving the demand lower. Resulting a significant drop of imports and drying up a lucrative revenue stream for the government.

Guess we just have to wait and see.
