Hi,

I want to buy corolla AE110. Though corolla and sprinter has same engine (correct me if I am wrong) corolla price is higher than sprinter.

Can anyone tell me what is the reason?

My major problem is how to identify corolla and sprinter separately. (Except from the badge)

Recently I found a sprinter 1.3L crystal light model for 1.65 million. Is it worth?

usually sprinter price is less than corolla...depending on da condition,grade and reg no v can caught a price...

any car @ good condition will hav a good market..like full option good maintained one.

yep...both the corolla and the sprinter has got the same engine. actually almost all mechanical parts are pretty much the same. It's only the body trim and internal fittings like seats are different.

The local price difference between the two models is purely built by our market with little to no logical reason.

If you actually check things up on the web...the sprinter is the higher spec version of the corolla of the era.

I owned a sprinter and personally i prefer it over the corolla. the corolla is too "boxy" for my liking and the sprinter is a bit more curvy and sleeker.

From what i know...the sprinter has a different front grill, different buffer and rear lights.

The body shape is more curvier than than the corolla. All sprinters come stock with speedlock, retract mirrors, rear seat headrest and arm rest

From what i know...the only corolla of the era that has better specs than the sprinter is the anniversary model corollas that are more commonly known as "gold badge" corollas. The toyota mark and model mark are in gold color as opposed to the silver

+1 the AE100 was actually a much nicer thing than the 110... no idea why toyota decided to go backwards.

The -100 had a smoother and lower profile than the -110... which was too snub nosed to my liking.

wasn't debating the "logical" (or lack of it) part

Personally I also like the body shape of Sprinter than Corolla (I have AE 110 Sprinter 1996 YOM). But did Toyota discontinue the Spriter after 110? cos have not seen Sprinters in 121 range

Corolla 110 finally manufactured in 2000 as 'Reveira' and has teak interior..This car has a very high market value compared to other 110s..If I m correct Sprinter 110 ended in 1999 and production was stopped there.. dnt know why?....I used Sprinter 110 for 9 years and it was a very good economical car....It was a manual one and did around 13Km/L in outstations....

if your 110 is Manual one you have to get tune your engine. because normally 1.5 manual 110 doing 16+ kml out station

you can identify a sprinter by its body shape (boxier rear) and badges

Sprinter is a higher version of corolla, but for some reason it has a slightly lower market value. Maybe the wide availability of spare parts gives corolla the edge?

I've a sprinter and its a nice economical average car, very good for those who are like to go for a safe option
