Hey Guys I need some help!

I’ve sold my Toyota sprinter AE 110 (1995/1.5cc/Manuel) two weeks ago. Now I’m planning to buy newer one, than my previous. My budget is 2.5-2.6 M. what are the options that I can go for? (vios?................) is there anything else (toyota)? With good fuel consumption? Pls give some ideas!!!

How about a civic? You can get a 2000-2004 for that less than that. A much better car imo.

You can try for a Civic ES8. Plenty of good units can find. May be you will find an ES1 for that price if you are lucky.

NZE 121 XLI unit also could be matching your budjet.

Carina also a very good choice. I think a 1.8 SI My Road is better than 1.5 TI s & 1.6 GT s. If you looking for a sporty look, then GT will be better but mind you, this is not that good in fuel consumption since it has got a 20 valve engine(GT). But Carina is more comfortable than all 3 above mentioned models.

Cheers for a good hunt....

Carina Ti/Si, FB 15 New Shell, Civic ES... are within your budget and also good cars to buy...Vios is good on fuel and looks better, only thing is made in Thailand...Your decision...

Doesn't any of the above models hasn't got any sensor problems or any other troubles at all??? :( Come out from the Civic frame Jami. Think & advise independantly since your favour may not be matching with others. I personally drive a Mazda. But I would say Vios is also a good one. Now don't try to waste my time like you did to Peri. :violent-smiley-099: I won't reply.

Using your same illogical argument, I can say, never go for Nissans, since a few of my friends have had recurring sensor problems. How many Vios owners with sensor problems do you know?

I donno what your experience with Vios cars is, but like I've mentioned many times, I've been using one for more than 3 years, and it has been a great car so far.

yes it may be....

but we have to spend 2.7- 2.9 M for a vios, but considering Honda civic or a Axela it is a good choice without going for a vios, and if your mind free of Toyota Teak/and beige then you can buy a Nissan for a reasonable price

2.7 - 2.9M for a Vios??? #*@!

People can overprice their cars when selling them. But we have to think twice whether we buy them or not. We can find a good Vios for bellow 2.5M. If we buy an overpriced car, then we also among the people who manupulate the car maket... Correct me If I'm wrong here dude...

just to note:

price want your initial justification, was it. It was the sensor issues :)

Now you are changing the story. You mentioned that people should never buy Vios because it has sensor problems (I had never heard of such a problem until this revelation from you). Now you are mentioning that Civic & Axela are better cars. That could be true. Can you let me know from where I can buy an Axela for 2.7-2.9M, I've been looking, and all Axela's are above the 3M+ mark!

My manager uses a Vios as a daily runner. No problems uptodate & does fuel well. If I was to take a decision, I would go for a Vios rather than a Carina, considering the year of manufacture & fuel consumption. Only draw back is that compared to a 121 in Vios the leg space is much lesser. If you can get one below 2.5Mil, you are up on the deal.
