Ecu For Honda Ek3

Hi everyone..

i bought new EK3 (manual transmission) last month. YOM is 1996 and previous owner has replaced the engine with V-TEC one. but the placed ECU (computor box) is not compatible with the engine & thus, i have to enjoy with low milage per L (now its just 6 KM per L). Further, the V-TEC feature is not activated for this ECU. Does anyone knows where i can find an ECU???

i know the car you are talking of. its got a vtec engine with an exi ECU.

mate, manual 3 stage vtec ECU hard to come by these days...i would say its very very rare..simply due to the age of the car and due to the high demand for engine swaps.

just give a try in negambo area and delkanda. or else try Ebay.

Try to get a HONDATA ecu from ebay or else wait till zakie returns to island... the car u bought...was it a Dark Blue Mi ?

ya. thats the car. with RS lipkit. or else go for a Spoon ECU from japan if you are willing to spend around 30k

i think your best bet is to wait for zackie. he should sort you out. tech motors in panshikawatte also deals with honda parts.

a spoon ECU would be the dog's bollocks too! if you can get your hands on one

So it was non vtec originally. Do don't have ECONO light also in dash board pannel, do you? Its better look for that as well. Because the indicator is very helpful to maintain econo mode. Specially in long trips. slight movement of throttle can toggle between two modes.

thanks man. i visited e-bay. got lot of clarifications from e-bay too. and searched about ECUs in the web. i'm also thinking to wait untill zackie returned.
