Godzila Is Back ( Skyline Gtr ) Hits The Market On June .
TomaHAWK replied to kotte mafia's topic in NISSAN
It is already in UK, sort of grey import, the guy brought the car is a car importer, but he will not be able to sell it yet, used for his private pleasure. Have seen some track info (@ Silverstone) against M3, A8 and 911. Surely a great sport car, making a new comer for this range. UK price is around £55k. hey cheaper than 911. WRX/ Evo's can't compare with GT-R's as it come under different category, GT-R's not meant to be a in the rally world. Love to drive it oneday, but not wanted to own new one, i'd rather stay with Evos, or R34's. -
Petrol hinga nathi, Breakdown nathi, radar gun nathi.. Saamaya sathuta piri suba nawa wasarakma wewa... Happy new year guys......

Machan go for a Beema, I used to have 318 E-30 coupe in early days. look out for water pump and radiator problems, i think it's was a common to some models. probably rust spots but in SL you can get it all nicely done for cheaper i guess. go for 318, felt like 316 is not powerful enough but hey 316 is 1.6, 318 is 1.8. six pods will drink your tank so quickly i am not sure about the part cost in SL but if you have any contacts with Europe, parts are not expensive, check online. I am not sure about the service intervals in SL but in UK it is about 10-12k miles. Did only oil changed/ fuel & oil filter changed when i had mine, easiliy can done by your self. I agree with comments on ASC - automatic stability control system on new models as E46, as it is less fun with ASC on and you do not feel the power, and can not drift around corners. ASC on is more safer but preffered otherwise. perfect on corners, well balanced car (thought it is better than japs but driving Evo killed it), and really good on breaks. I had E30 318. E36 318/ 320 & 325TDS & E46, all are solid, love Beemas to max...

Machan, How much will be genuine Evo VII/ VIII cost in SL? what sort of market STi going for? thanks.
-
Machan, Did you really paid around £7500-9000 fot your STi? If you check around autotrader you might get a quality one for 1/2 the price. By the way if you are around London you are welcome to join us in a track one day. Give me a buzz on 007515476610.

Nice car machan, how much you paid for STi?. hey what is the insurance cost for this? What cat this going under? have fun..

My deepest sympathies, by the way was this happened by Colombo Kandy road? One of my work colleague’s cousin brother has passed away last week by an accident on Colombo- Kandy road. He is 31 years old with two kids. Wear the seatbelts and leave a safety margin, always.

Machan GuruG, can not access the link.. is it been blocked?? thanks

Just checked some info from web for The Alfa Mito performance, and Mito will be available with a wide range of engines, * 95bhp 1.4-litre petrol unit, a Multiair 105bhp 1.4-litre petrol engine hooked up to a six-speed manual gearbox *1.6-litre turbocharged unit with 135bhp. * 1.8-litre turbocharged which will have a power output of 230bhp. *1.6 diesel engine, the 120bhp about Abarth 500 performance wise Engine: In-line 4-cyl, 1368cc, turbo Max power: 153bhp @ 5500rpm Max torque: 170lb ft @ 3000rpm 0 - 60mph: 8.2sec (claimed) Top Speed: 129mph (claimed) Price: £14,000 (est) On sale: Mid 2008 Mito will be priced from £11k onwards and 1.8 turbo maybe the same price range as Abarth (£14k), but 230 BHP on Alfa is a plus!! Fiat not having a good reputation as Alfa, and Puntos are for council scammies.. Saying that not really fancy Alfas either, as it's Sh*t gearboxes ( have bad experince on 156, looks liks many had problems with) but hope Mito will be a market catcher like 147!

Supra_Natural - Thanks for the information machan.

DB9 is far more expensive than GT-Rs in UK. I think when import from Japan it will be treated as lux. Jap car, for DB9 it should be a massive tax. (Machan I do not know any stories about DB9 tax - reduction story - only seen some pictures). In UK Nissan wanted to stop "grey importers" for skylines to keep up the value of the car, shame!! Do we have any 911 Turbos in SL roads?
-
Congratulations mate! By the way what is the current market for R34- GTRs (not just R34 2.5 turbos) in SL? Have we got any GTR- V specs in racing? have a good day

Thanks machan, It will hit the UK market in few months and cost around £50k (i guess?), on some car reviews it says better than Porsche 911 turbo. Big fan of GT-Rs only driven R32 GT-R but not pushed to the limits . Soon it will be on SL roads, Watch out!!

Performance , well what about 3.2 litre unit with 230bhp! It is not that much for 3.2 engine but most buyers will go for the more economical 158bhp 2.2-litre diesel as mentioned earlier. I'm not a 4 x 4 fan by myself but my mate said it is good in handling. It is the little kid in the rover family anyway, compared to other rover 4 x 4s. Max speed it 112 MPH (around 180kmh?). hope this help. By the way what is the market price over at SL?

yea i think they have messed up with the second pic...

Wonderful car, have a look guys.. From Autotrader UK. A Dutch designer has transformed the all-American Corvette into a 750bhp stunning, curvaceous supercar. Ugur Sahin Design has based the Corvette Z03 concept on the Z06’s chassis and 7-litre V8 engine, but with a host of modifications, The body is now carbon fibre and the tuners have upped the 7-litre lump from 506bhp to a raucous 750bhp – with the aid of a turbocharger. And with weight reduced by almost 50kg, the Corvette Z03 produces a tasty 545bhp per ton – more than the Bugatti Veyron. This should give the Corvette Z03 a 0-60mph time of less than 3.5 seconds and a top speed touching 220mph. But customers not looking for that crazy power can opt for packages ranging between 500bhp and 750bhp. American tuners unveil 210mph Corvette C16 Speedster Ugur Sahin Design was set up in 2007 by Ugur Sahin and Axel Van Mourik with the company unveiling stunning design of a Ferrari Dino (pictured below) for the 21st century last summer. The Corvette Z03’s design still bears similarities with the Z06 but with a hint of Ferrari about it such as the air scoops under the bumper – like seen on the Ferrari F430. The Dutch design house has been helped in the project by a host of business partners including Fischer Motorsports and former Corvette chief engineer Dave McLellan. It’s planned 100 Corvette Z03s will be built-to-order with all customers given the chance to customise their half-Dutch, half-American supercar with upgraded interior and bespoke paintwork. Details on pricing and availability will be released in March, but expect the Corvette Z03 to be considerably more expensive than the £62,000 Corvette Z06. check the link for pics http://www.autotrader.co.uk/EDITORIAL/car_...tent/40522.html

Nice car machan. -wheels -Is that M3 replica wheels or the original M3s, check whether you have BMW part number on it? if it is a replica you might find colour fade in few yers time. I personally do not think M3 wheels will good for 5 series as it is like wearing a coat with a sarong! you could find M5 wheels from ebay, as you are going to get a M5 bodykit. what is the current alloy size machan, is it 16", yea when you get higher ones you have to sacrifice the comfort, but hey it is good in handling. -30k for service, I do not know I think it is far too much, but I think it could be the price in SL. I do my car service on my own only cost for the parts, it is roughly £80 by the local garage.. - About the CD changer you probably will find a good one on ebay, you could set up the changer under the front passenger seat, normally there is the space for first aid kit. ta

Hey guys, I have done 100MPH on my very first car Ford Escort 1.3, on a motorway. which I though will never get to 100MPH, but it did eventually as road was free at that time, apart from that, 140MPH on BMW 320i (E46) and 160MPH on Evo IV. Evo is de-restricted and got a digital meter, from 100 onwards it feels nothing just a nice flow. Beema is a slow starter compared to Evo (clock 0-60 MPH on 5.7sec), but for a motorway it is much comfortable and more on ground as it rolls. Breaks on Beema is much better, for winding country roads Evo handles well (saying that BMW got better handling than most of the cars i driven) Was a passenger on BMW 318i Coupe' E36 model with K & N induction on hit 145MPH, Merc C180 not Kompressor (old model) passenger at 135MPH I am scared when I drive in SL though, everytime i come back home it take about a week to get used to the road rage... our roads are not that safe, and some silly drivers. You can not say nothing as it is the way we brought up in driving in SL.. Can someone update latest drag event in SL please and seen some old pictures and wonder why they have a passenger sitting with the driver on drag..? Ah Speed kills... lol

Well the speed reading upto 110 MPH is correct, but i am not sure how they have done it, i think have to look and see. Many thanks for the information.
-
Thanks for this info, maybe can ask one of my friends to ship it from SL as it is cheaper that way.

Hello fellow Petrol-heads, I need a help for my speedometer conversation on Evo IV. The original speedo meter KM/H been converted to MPH and derestricted when I purchased the car from Japan. Now speedo meter working fine but it can not read more than 112 MPH (roughly it is 180 KMH) , as over 112 MPH speedo gauge going to zero and stays there. Car can be driven over 150 MPH easily (well not legally on motorway and have checked the speed on Satnav which gives the speed) but it is hectic that the speedo meter is not fully functioning. I know there are products you can buy for de-restriction and speedo conversion as but what is the problem with this speedo meter malfunction. Checked the speed from -0 - 110 MPH against the satnav and it is correct. Help needed…… Thanks TOMAHAWK
