Machan of course i dont need the 2nd one; returning the fault signal back, A detector with "Warning" alert would be fine for me. I was looking at Cobra XRS-9485 which is 100$ + shipping. Hope this unit wont return any signals back to the cops.

machan Is it illegal to fix laser detectors in vehicles in sri lanka? One of my friends told me that cops can remove them if they find it. is that true?

Mchan, whatForTHeTalking!!!! you must have had a nice ride then. Yes machan, no point of arguing, I got caught by Godakawela Cops, they realize that i'm not in to speeding, even my wife is also in front seat and some "Avurudu" stuff in my back seat. After so many justifications, they've let me go, which is a good thing.

How do you define City limits and out side the City? For Cops, always its City limits and if you ask them how do you define it, they dont know where the city limit begins and where it ends. Specially in Negombo road, they toss different law points at day time and different points at Night. once i got caught between Godakawela and Pallebedda (Rathanapura - Embilipitiya road) and the area is totally out of city limits and cops said i was 68 and speeding.

Machan, will this improve the fuel consumption? (just trying to understand whether its worth of paying 4500/-)

Sira > Good Advice! I drew nearly 50 to 55 KM couple of times with low fuel light 'on' and people started telling me the same story and asked me to fill up ASAP. One of my friend's point was the "Themister" and for B15, its gona be little expencive to replace. (thats what i heard from him)

Friends, My brother wants to know the best place where you can get a good painting job done for a Nissan FB15. 1) What is the best place Agents?, Cl**nPa**k?, P**St*p or any other reputed place? 2) How much will it cost for a full body paint? (no "tinkering" or damages, just a paint job) I searched here in AL, but did not find a name. I hope you guys know the best place.

Even i heard something like this. but, will it block the gas coming out of your exhaust? some people say its not good to fit in. what is your experience about it?

Have you done a ECU reset along with the tune-up? I had the same problem. The guy who tuned my car had done a manual ECU reset and asked me to keep the engine start for 10-15 min before running, to get in to the normal heat and let the ECU set its default data. I did what he asked, but we felt that it was nothing to deal with Injectors, coils, sensors etc...in my case, so did a total ECU reset again using the Consult II scanner (mine is a Nissan ExSaloon). after that, everything start working smoothly. now I go 400KM per 40ltrs in city limits. (it is a 2001 FB15 manual ExSaloon) so based on my experience, you better do a ECU scan and see for errors, or do a total reset. it worked for me.

I had a bad experience with one of the Motor Bike guys; I was driving towards Rajagiriya and this biker guy was in my behind and wanted to over take me not from right side but from the left. so i was in my track and this biker guy suddenly over took me from my left side and hit on a bump and fell off top of my bonnet. That time me and my wife were in the car and he started throwing "@#$%^&*(" at me said that i did not allow him space to overtake. I just don’t wanted to get involve any since my wife was there. So, who is WRONG here? Can they overtake in left and if something happen will the Police or the LAW will work for us? ---

mmmm Machan Kotte: most of us here met online and were discussing very useful stuff than what you mean. Also, dont take things personal, just be cool and type something useful man. Take it easy!!! Also, there is a statement you made about overseas cars (specially racing) , machan most of us haven’t seen them or heard them before . we only have internet to go to those sites and have virtual rides and looking at those pics. anyway, just wash off and lets start something interesting to talk. What my thought about marathon races and cycle races; aaaneeh poor guys, people who organize these kinds of events does not have specific tracks or road for them, they use the public roads because they don’t have other option. Even those reces are not wild and exciting like motor events to entertain people. I went to down south for the last New-year season and saw 3-4 races and I enjoyed watching them (there were little kids and elder people etc), I don’t have any issues having cycle races or marathons in public roads, but should well organized, in terms of handling traffic and directing, also should not bother people who lives near the main roads. this is my personal thought. might be not the right one for you. (sorry about my spelling and grammar too)
