HONDA CVT is problamatic . Other tahn that car is reliable. CVT gives problem in japaneese make CIVIC, HRV and CRV s but I don't know about CITY and AREA. Once you get the problem with CVT, It is better to replace the gear box rather than repairing it. If you could find a AMT or Manual transmission. 100% OK. cheers,

At the normal working temperature, Idle RPM should be 700-800. If it is 1500 at the time of starting in the morning, it is ok but it should come down once engine gets heated up.

According to the photo it looks like the early stage of sludge formation.One of my friends VIOS got the same problem and agent had advised to clean the engine by dismentling and cost around 100000 Rs. At last he got the engine cleaned by putting some chemicals at LAUGH at Koswatte and run the engine about 5 miniuts and drained the stuff and put new engine oil. He repeated after 2000 km and for last 10 months the machine is working perfectly.The cost was less than 6000 Rs. Any way take early action. Basically this problem is common in 121 and VIOS because of less overhead clearence. (All the new engines are thermelly over loaded to reduce un healthy emmisions)
