  1. Different tastes
  2. Acutually it was a ek3 and intially it was too stiffy. After couple of months one side was failed and gave some noises. Had to replace both sides. Originals were not KYB . It was some thing sound TOKOKO but i can't remember the brand exactly since this has happened about 06 years a go.
  3. Again I am telling you that genuine is reliable and long last. Though KYB is japaneese it is not that good. I had that experience and had to change for originals and cost was double
  4. In some model rear and front prices are different. You may ask ######## since they are the agent for Mitsubishi please. Rgds,
  5. Dear Bro ,Don't go for used shock absorbers. You will have to change it soon and spend twice. KYB japaneese one is better than used ones. If you could go for the original, That will be the best . I had some bad experience with KYB at my Ek3 some time back and I had to replace with originals in a short period.
  6. The cheapest japaneese tyre is DUNLOP. Tread ware is little heigher than the YOKOHAMA and BRIDGESTONE. Dunlop riding is very comfort and side walls are thin. therefore you have to take care when you are going againest pavements etc etc. My original Brigestone(Japaneese) one did 60000 km before i change to Dunlop. But I don't think DUNLOP could do even close to that. Yokohama is equally good as Bridgestone but little harder. If you are going for the best, It should be BRIDGEDTONE japaneese. (Bit expensive). Other wise go for DUNLOP japaneese.
  7. If you think only the fuel economy and the main. cost, yes mira is a good car . It does more than 17km/lt out station. It is not a comfortable car and suitable for a small family and baggage area is compact. Engine spares are available but very difficult to find used body parts. Since it has got only 3 cylinders ware and tare may be bit higher when you compare with 4 cylindar cars. One of my relatives had one and it did not have any major issues untill it was sold after 3-4 years of using. Alternatives for your budget are Starlet(ep91) , March. March is very poor in fuel and manufacturing years of Starlet is before 1999. But I would say Starlet has got good pulling power in it's class and spare parts are not expensive and freely available and love to drive. Good luck bro.

    Mazda 323

Familia is comming with Air bags and 1500cc also with low ground clearence. Most 323"s imported ones don't have air bags and 1600 cc with a good ground clearence. excellent pulling power. I prefer 323 1600cc one. After Y.O.M. 2003 it is also equipped with air bags i think.
  12. Slight scratch marks could be removed by 3M wax (Cost is about 1500Rs-200Rs for 325ml can). Compoung could do little deeper ones. If the damage is much deeper you may have to go for painting.

  17. Always toyota's are the number 1
  18. Yes it is some thing wrong with the compressor. When it over loads and temperature goes up automatically clutch release. i recommend you a place if you are closed to kandy road, next to pattiya junction towards the new bridge next to ishara car sale. The name is some thing like air frost. They are profesional in AC.
  19. Burning oil is not the problem with the make. Better you check the engine. There may be some problems with the mechanism.
  20. exactly you are at the risk. even my self had third party for about 06 years for my Lancer station wagon (value of the car aprox 300000 Rs) and had no accidents fortunatly but I never ever advise any body to go for 3rd party insurance since you never know when the bad luck comes. As an example one person who is working with me changed his insurance to 3rd party and after couple of months the car (AE110) was robbed at the gun point at Piliyandala (5 years ago) and nothing found. THAT IS THE RISK.
  21. 1.2 million.
  22. Thankx harsa and Sada. i have given up the idea. Thanks again.
  23. Dear Experts, Please help me to verify the following matter. I hope to change my wife's car to Peugeot 307 (2002/2003) which has got a tiptronic gear box. Most of my friends say that there is a inherent problem in tiptronic gear box. Please educate me the type of the problem and the approximate cost to repair it if the story is true. Rgds, Jagath
