    Octane You Use??

I pump 95Oct. What I have noticed is that it gives a bit lesser mileage and leaves the thin brown layer on the spark plugs, but gives better performance than 90Oct. With 95 Oct there is no engine knocking.
  3. A spoiler to a K11 is a nice addition! would look nicer:)
  4. FB 15 is real value for money. And has a fair after market value too (you buy for less, you sell for less ) Yes the lower arm bush will tear off frequently but could be replaced with Malaysian bushes for less than 2.5K. The MAF will typically be need to replaced every 50K Kms, which could be bought for less than 8~6K from a vendor or at about 14K from A*W.
  5. If the MAF is gone, your car will smoke, consume a lot of fuel (noticeable) and the pulling power will go down the drains.
  6. Ok bro, then we'd better ask whether she's game for a DP

  9. Hi All, Thanks for reading my post, and sorry if this question sounds stupid. I've never taken any vehicle to a Green Test. But what do they actually test in the Green test? Is it only the emissions or do they check things like all the brake lights are working, signal lights flashing, etc. ?
  10. I came across a BOV for diesels on the net. The seller confirms that they have tested it on Mitsu 4D56, 4M40 and Toyota 1KZ. After the technical explanations I get that there is no such restriction on using a BOV, as long as it doesn't vent the intake air too soon. Thanks to the Gurus for awesome explanations on how these things work.
  11. guess they were trying to make it as low as possible, until they realized that they need to stick a driver inside the cockpit!
  12. yo bro you have to get in line... me first!

  16. It looks as if they have cut and chop a few japanese cars, took bits and peices of all of them and put this together... bonnet of a lancer, rear end of a cefero, etc.
  17. Oops sorry about the above post guys. I have made a mistake in naming the thread, and have created a lot of confusion.

  20. Both 4D55 and 4D56 came in as Turbo and non-turbo. The turbo versions has the engine code 4D56T - the trailing 'T' denotes that its a turbo engine. 4D55 Displacement - 2346 cc 4D56 Displacement - 2476 cc Turbo versions has different compression ratios
  21. its a SIII
  22. Is this similar to changing Engine oil. I've heard that the conventional method is better for changing engine oil, How do you check when to change gear oil. (If you are not sure abt the milage)
  23. I've been to the their branch at Darly Road and My impression of the place was different. Anyway I'll pay a visit and update it
  24. I love the post face lift GT. What I have observed is that the GT sells at slightly a lower price. Maybe because of the difficulty to find engine spares? I'd go for a Si over a Ti. Si has excellent weight to power ratio. And Carina's are really comfortable, and like all Toyotas they are durable too.
  25. Maybe trying to hide something?
