  1. Yo Vitz, you'd better consider your own preference in terms of your existing/old car, if you have been using it for a long time. I remember I had a bit of a hard time getting used to the Sunny EX after been using a Presia for about 3 years. Its just you miss the features... Won't be a problem if you are going for a fully-loaded car. Just a thought... And usually a manual car is about 1 to 1.5 lakhs less than an auto one. Automatic transmission comes as an option the price difference could be due to the high demand for automatic transmission cars Better get some opinion from someone who actually use the same model

  4. Seems that this this Jey Leno's personal pet project "It’s like the hand of God pushing you in the back," Jay Leno said about MTT Turbine Superbike. American TV presenter Jay Leno (NBC), famous for his great collection of super cars and bikes, is the proud owner of the first production MTT Turbine Superbike. He called it: “smooth”, “amazing” and “wicked fast”. As the leaders in turbine innovation, MTT has created the ultimate in high performance machines: the MTT Turbine Superbike. The Superbike is the world's first turbine powered street legal motorcycle in its class, and has been recognized by Guinness World Records as the "Most Powerful Motorcycle Ever to Enter Series Production" and the "Most Expensive Production Motorcycle". Power-driven by a Rolls Royce Allison gas turbine engine, the Superbike has demonstrated over 300 hp and 425 ft/lbs of torque on the Dyno Jet 200, and has been clocked at a record-breaking 227 mph. Unlike some earlier jet-powered motorcycles, where a massive jet engine provided thrust to push the motorcycle, the turboshaft engine on this model drives the rear wheel via a two-speed gearbox. Riding the motorcycle is said to be somewhat tricky due to the inherent throttle lag in the engine. Representing the latest in engineering expertise, the bike also features carbon fiber fairings, a rear mounted camera with LCD color display, forward- and rear-looking radar detector with laser scrambler, one touch "Smart Start" ignition, and more. The MTT Turbine Superbike is starring in the Warner Brothers movie "TORQUE", and Men's Journal lists the bike as one the most "awe-inspiring, innovative, and otherwise amazing designs" in their feature article "Perfect Stuff". With production limited to five per year in customized colors and costing $150,000, the SUPERBIKE has become a revolution.

I guess you could have got it done half the price if you got the part from a vendor, but then again you don't get the service record and the waranty. BTW, Karu did you get any warranty for the MAF?

    Petrol Smell

I've heard that the there is no tuning to be done in Corolla 121, and the ECU is pre-set and the parameters could not be changed at all. Is this true?
  7. I get it on Google Chrome, but selected the proceed anyway option...

    Pajero Exceed

I've spoken to a few Jeep enthusiasts and mechanics. They say despite 4M40 being one of the best engines for speed and toque, it wares out fast. While toyota 1KZ can go for about 400~500K kms, before an overhaul, the 4M40 will need an overhaul in half that time...
  10. That didn't last long Holly! Pregnant Dancing on Ice presenter returns to flaunting her cleavage Why do they bother complaining???
  11. ROFL Anyway, you can check the Air filter of your car. If you did not replace it recently, or have never replaced it and if it looks dirty and hard to the touch, then its time to replace it. A dirty air filter will kill the pulling power. Also get plugs cleaned.
  12. Gee... can we do this in Sri Lanka...?
  13. um.... because they got GPS?

You'd better check the plugs and the small pockets where the ignition coils go if the service station guys have used pressurized water jets to clean. There might be water in them. if you have a FB15, you get it under the 'NEO' cover. Also check the Air intake. Never use pressurized water to clean the engine.
  16. Bro, what's your Insurance company? and please PM me the agent's number if its not much of a trouble.
  17. IMO most of these small places do a better job. At least you can take the car and blaggard the bugger and make him re-do the job. Of cause you may have to pay for Paint and Lacquer(Free labor), but I bet it would still be half of what you spend at those big fellows. I know a guy at Udahamulla junction who does really good job and the price is very reasonable, and if you want I can PM you the contact.
  18. Devinda, if you are referring to Sp*eymech, then all I can say is they are not as good as they used to be... Have got some very bad experience there.
  19. regarding the fuse box there is a joint near the Wijerama Junction (Small place under the tree, to your left if you are traveling from Nugegoda side) which you can check. Good luck with your search.
  20. I'm not sure about you guys, but if I had the buck and the track, I would have gone for this... WOW!
  21. Agree with JadeyBlitzen on GT Radial, as they were truly value for money. Tharindu, if you are doing a lot of city driving, and if you are a conservative driver these would do OK. But if you are one of the Speed Demons, who has a heavy foot, better go for a brand like Bridgeston which offer more grip. Always remember its a trade off between safety and cost.
  22. guys, Will this have any impact on Micro?
  23. Dev, congratulations on your successful completion of the degree! Any plans for joining a place?
  24. Machung, we all know there maybe many technology glitches, and folks at Dialog are doing a lot to keep us all in touch. My advice is to complain via their toll free line if the service is dis-satisfactory and regarding bill issues. If you do not receive a satisfactory resolution I suggest you make a second complaint, stating the first, and the guy who did not handle your previous complaint will run into a lot of trouble for not attending for it on time. I've had a chat with a CS guy and he told me this. Personally, I suggest you should be with the best service provider. Being in the service industry, what I've known is that our people do not complain, they just simply move on to another. Why don't you let the Service Providers know that you are not happy and try to get the best from them before moving on?
  25. I see another paribaharan emerging... this time an A'H0le who's trying to be a king... Where was this joker all this time... waiting for our brave armies to conquer Jaffna and offer him on a silver plate?
