I know for a fact that this uses RAV 4 brake pads. the engine must be a light ace and the gear box must be from a Hi Ace van etc. Dont spend so much money on an ugly old toyota. Yo can get a pretty new car with current looks and technology for 2.2Mil. (i.e. Hionda City etc) think outside the box quiet literally!!!

Parak the people have a right to travel any way they like. The cost of the vehical is the owners problem. unlike you we have travelled to several so called developed countries. why dont you stick to selling HP stuff in like you use to do.

A 19- Impreza goes for about 8-10 lahks depending on the condition. Auto Mirai delkanda has a WRX engine and a gear box the guy wanted 2 lahks about an year ago, your total investment will be around 12-14 if you know what you are doing. The impreza boxer engines are very reliable and produces more BHP hence a very good investment in the long run.

Well a single person who works with me bought a FB15 and after discovering it only does 8KMPL changed all the filters and wanted to know what to do next. - I asked the guy why didnt you buy a two door hatch back. The sri lankans are of the opinin that the car should be a four door saloon(like FB 15!!). There are many charade part vendors in Sri Lanka and they have ample loads of spares both brand-new and used as well as all the body parts. Regarding the engine overhaul issue, Who said its unfeasible to overhaul since its 3 cylinder and 1000cc Diesel? Obviously you have contacted the absolute wrong technician. Don’t think twice about buying a Charade! I owned few both diesel and petrol and that’s last I would cite. If help needs will post the contact details of overhaul technicians and part vendors. I had a diesel and did the engine twice but as another user has mentioned it only last for about 50,000KM, So it does not make financial sence to repair as the overall cost is more than the fuel saving. The user who started the thread wanted an economical car, not permenant recidensy in panchikawatte.

It is fuel efficent but the engine does not last long (3 cylinder 1000CC). advised to keep well away as the engine is impossible to repair properly and undrivable when under compression (3 cylinder)

I have a JDM Impreza 1.5 had a problem with the radiator. There is a shop in delkanda opposite the sujath school entrace they have parts. That guy has a WRX engine and was trying to persuade me to change.

Thanks guys, I took it to senok, they first checked the coil(which is at the top with a new one) Then they went down do the plug wires and they were broken (the metal ends that connect the plug) So the problem was solved but the leads were 4000 each !!!!!. And on the fuel the 1.5 is going fine with what we have in this county and it does 9+ KMPL no ignition noise eaither

I did add a can on injector clearner WRUTH no change.

This is an engine mis that causes the vibration. The mis is abvious after engaging D (under load) and goes away when the engine has heated up. even when the engine is hot if i try to overtake suddenly going more than 2500 RPM then there is a vibration (which I belive the mis is causing).

The car 1999 Impreza 1.5 JDM with auto transmission There is a engine mis/ vibration after engaging D in the morning and goes away after a kilometer or so. again between 2000 4000 RPM this comes on again. Any ideas.

I have been following this debate on Nissan and Toyota, dont forget to add the cost of reverting badges and indicator units to the interest calculation mentioned!! and the insurance premium for fancy prices. Now if you drive a Hon** or a Su**** the above problem is not there. Buy cheap sell cheap, just like the stocks.
