the blue car with white wheels is a sti 9 spec c ra arai version, its not a ra-r the arai version is developed with the help of japanese rally driver toshio arai, comes with a handling package incuding suspension and sway bars and upgraded brakes. also there were only 299 ra-r made as the no 13 car was crashed by owner of fuji heavy industry(subaru boss)

Hi All Firstly this is not an advertisement to get business so moderators this is posted with no bad intentions but as to notify and ask fellow members if they would be interested. This is relevant to all the Subaru Turbo owners including wrx, sti, forester and legacy. From the 20th to the 27th of February 2009 two of UK s best Subaru tuners would be visiting the country to tune anyone’s turbo charged Subaru to the requirements of the owner. Since Sri Lanka does not have a four wheel drive rolling road the tuning would be done on a closed private road or a race track which would be notified near the date. The tuners name will be kept confidential, however his resume includes working for 5 years in the ECU and software development team of prodrive the company that tunes all the wrc Subaru’s, tuning the fastest drag Subaru in uk,working with the famous software developer for performance cars I speed USA. During the course of 7 days in Sri Lanka they have the time span to tune 10 Subaru’s (only turbo charged vehicles) where the owner can meet the tuners before they tune and tell them what his requirements are such as more performance, fuel economy, torque, throttle response, etc. The tuning will be done through I speed USA software installed on their laptop where it will connect to the customers standard Subaru ecu through the OBD sensor located under the stearing coloumn, hence no fitting new devices, cutting wires or messing up anything that is standard. Many of the modern tuners are using this method as the subaru factory ecu's have a lot of potential but are kept restricted as the cars are exported to a variety of different countries where temperature, climate, fuel, humidity all differ. And this is not a reflash where it deletes the factory settings and everything is built up, to the contrary this software works by allowing the tuner to change the restrictive factory parameters to a more performance oriented level and change the ancillary supporting parameters such as ignition, fueling, air/fuel ratio,timing and boost. Everything will be done in a very professional manner with guaranteed results where the outcome will be highly satisfactory because at the end of the day if you stop to think about it, if the guy was in the team tuning wrc Subaru’s at prodrive I m sure he will definitely do some thing special for us. And for the drag Subaru’s he will do something very special. Also cost will be minimal since he will work on the customers own ecu and since stock sensors and the wire harness will all remain untouched problems of running after market ecu's such as cold start, map correction would not occur. machang the scv 430 and droptop failrlady were representing brjw as both cars were what we imported, couldnt get the name boards ready in time to place them on the cars. the silver 350z drop top was also imported by the same company

Hi Machang Zero spors one cost £ 450 but its much cheaper in japan. machang running a sports cat will be helpful because it can prevent boost spike where excessive boost comes on suddenly the cat will help smoothen out the boost curve. i will be back on the 15th of july. will defo see you then.

guess driving the sti daily is a definite no no. will have to buy a push bike and start cycling.

machang s tuned is made by nismo and it comes with a 1240cc vvti engine which produces 90ps(88 bhp) Some cars came with nismo sport suspension and a nismo exhaust. the engine is the exact same to the impul and both have the same power output. If this is the green car which looks totally stock then yes it does have a nismo supercharger becasue that car was imported by brjw and if i remeber correct it has nismo shocks as well. Th super charger is activated through a switch and it really moves because 130 bhp on a car htat weights 840kg is a decent power to wait ratio. Impul and nismo both have a ready made super charger kit and its the nismo one that is installed on this car and it was done in japan.

even though i was a bit skeptical about the initial design i acutally think it looks really hot now in wrc disguise

Adding two more to the list brjw bought a blue evo 6 gsr which was sold to hasanka de silva and then carmen thenuwara blue Evo 7 - to maheth which is now an evo 9

Machang the FMIC is acutally effective only if you will be runnig high boost of 1.3 bar at least becasue the sti intercoolers are very effective in handling power upto around 400bhp. The cheaper effective option would be to add a zero sports intercooler splitter which re directs the air to improve the efficiency by 100% i have one on my sti 8 and my intake temperatures dropped significantly helping boost spool up. another is if you run low boost such at o.8 bar on a front mount there is a significant pressure loss as the air has to climb up the pipes into the throttle body. but sacha knows whats he is talking about so best to speak to him.

Machang if you need an original sti spoiler i have one which i removed from my sti 8 its in blue and got the stop light as well, will fit your car, send me a mail on [email protected] if you are interested it weighs about 3kg
