  1. A guy advertises a mileage blocker on the quick site saying that his device blocks the vehicle mileage from changing on the odometer. Is it legal to advertise stuff like this?

      I also found the ad. Must be illegal right? I don't think these are included in Motor Traffic Act of Sri Lanka but they must be amended. I found a website called "Super Kilometer Filter", the same thing, made in Germany.  Says it even can change ECU to reflect the same number when scanning or any thorough inspection.

      Even if its not illegal one should be ethical enough to stay away from advertising, it is like giving a knife to a monkey and everyone will start using these. If you are a true enthusiast you will never use a gadget like that.

      Sadly the result of a mindset that believes low mileage cars (even if that's crap) are the ones to consider, not the cars well maintained and looked after even though they got a big number in ODO.
