Hay Ya as DON said it might be something small – I never knew I had ABS when I bought the car and only realised it when I braked suddenly – apparently the bulb was busted. Piliyandala guys should be able to fix u out – although he does not have the equipment. BT don’t go for any repairs until u get a second opinion with a electronic diagnoses. Another place would be Mario but don’t know his locations. Also there is a garage near Nadimal junc near the Y junc left side if u come from hill street – cant remember the name but they were there at a motor show and I remember them telling me that they had the Diagnosis kits – it’s a part of Debug U can’t miss it By the way Y not register for the Mazda club ? where U there for the meets ?

Yes I agree – after all we have had some heated debates on this – it’s Just unfair people selling this for a thumping amount and having a profit. Some families have got 2 permits which I think is F%*king crazy Can we report this to an authority ?

Yes agree waste of time- Like I said a joker who can't afford a Toyota hence buys a Mazda - this is Y we have trouble getting in people for the club- most of the M & Fusers are in the same mentality – hence the brands get tarnished . A tata club would be good too - Forget the J.A - lets get back to our stuff besides he doen't seem to ahve the brains nor the balls to organise anything even a kidies party.

Not at all they are quite freely available - Yes the butterfly (As most people call it) are the ones with the full light and bit larger at the 3 ends - the previous model also had the full light but was more square shape than that of the butterfly. Well familia is the Japanese version (Asian) and the 323 are more of the European version. All of them have the same parts and stuff. The ford lazser has the same engine as the Mazda. There is no major price variance between Familia or a 323 .

Mitsubishi is a good car and like all have said – a MX touring will be a best option. Having sporty looks, resell value and fuel efficiency are not characteristics that came in 1 package most of the time. My humble opinion is Safe mode : (Fuel efficacy) Stick to a car with low CC and drive at a reasonable speed with out been a hindrance to other motorist by driving at 20 in the middle of the road on a 2 way lane. Speed mode: Get a flashy car with the looks and drive it with out too much of concern about the fuel as that was not your 1st choice. Still for all refer the above – no use having a flashy car and driving it like a granny been a pain in the ass to others. Mazda- butterfly model (1997-1999) & Mazda Bj’s (1999 -2003) would be in that range. Auto would do less but a manual should give you some where about 10-11 Kmpl – on the 1500CC – the 1600CC will not do that well. Mine is a 1.6CC and does very low 8.5 Kmpl but she can rip the roads when it’s needed. Then there is the human factor of enjoying the drive- I call it the zoom zoom factor (yes copied from Mazda) With a Mazda you have that feeling compared to your standard Toyota corollas- NO disrespect to a corolla –bloody reliable and trust worthy car that does wonders on mileage All the best

Well I've been to international car shows that need 2 days just to see the whole exhibition briefly. Compared to them – yes this is poor. There were over 16 Mazda's & Fords such to the extent of Capri's & Escots to RX8 & Cx7 (Hope I've got the model number correct) and this was a users gathering rather than a car show- All da guys had a good time on the track and so did the non M & F with the likes of IST, Swifts, Evo's and even the grand daddy C300. Sorry to sound Crude & Rude – Asking for over 15 on Colombo roads is unreasonable even for a Toyota- Outstations yes…. Best U avoid a Mazda cause U will end up bitching about the brand - and tarnishing it which most ignorant people do as they know of only 2 brands of cars (Toyota & Nissan) – Not that they are bad cars and with total respect for the 2 brands. ROHND – has basically put it nicely- It’s much more fun car to drive with a lot of spirit. I fully understand the fuel crisis but ….. there is a limit Summery – if Fuel is your main concern - A Hero Honda should be fine.

Mazda 323 - 2000 YOM / 1600CC City with traffic - 8-8.5 km/l ( generally revving over 2 & driving like a road raged moron ) Outstations : generally 12-13 Km/L Yes she should be doing better - need to check her up - just don't get the time to take her and be there whilst doing it.

U bet – I think I still have the headache from all that sun – We need to give some more time till the next event – by that time I should also have my “Patiya” fixed with out the pulling issue. Hence I ran only 2 laps ( Didn’t want to get the Brand new tires wasted on 1 side only ) Ya where are all the Mazda 3/Axcela’s – Really disappointing man…. Come on guys – Y own a Mazda – least try to come to an event and take part for the brand sake. [Hay Guys, Had a good time. Hope all enjoyed. Like to thank a lot of people starting with Nishan, Carmart, Members and the non M & F’s who came down. There were some M’ & F’s that took part in the run – but we had the event from 3.00pm onwards and wanted to wind up by 5.00pm due to several reasons – 1 been the safety aspect & 2. been the unreliable weather ( Which started out with a pour during the parade time) Got some video’s on my camcorder but don’t know how to take parts of it out – hence leaving it GuruG to do that part. Uploading the pics through office is a bitch as the bandwidth is restricted and I just moved to a new place and got no internet yet... sp pls be a bit patient - GuruG /Charith can u pls upload pics if u have ?

Strongly agree with Rohnd- I personally know it's frustrating but take your time to shop around even 3 months. Mazda Butterfly is an excellent car and I too can recommend it - there again need to get a good car. Honda's are great too but it's getting difficult to find a good 1 which hasn’t been modified ( if yo'r not in to it - else it's cool) Good ones are generally higher in price but then again u may get lucky.. (Alcatraz Guy ??) Shall try to do that on Friday. We also need to have some guys to help out as 2 of us will need to be taking pics and video - which I will volunteer Ahh yess that is a Proton in sheep’s clothing - Evo 3 inside - belongs to a good friend of mine....Still need the socks & springs which should be coming down soon
