Don’t get me wrong – I’m all for it.. The fact been that we are so corrupt there would be guys who can get a way with out paying the fine. If it’s only for diesel vehicles then would it involve the buses ? Lorries ? etc ? Next we’ll be having a strike by the Private buses – so the rule will be lifted for public transport. I would also agree with s.Perera - u can change the meter for Rs.1700/- sooo tell him point blank - if u want the plc. I'll even give u the directions . the fact that he's reluctant to go to A*W seems fishy too... Take caution mate - 2Mil is not peanuts these days All the best

Hay Madmax - NO apparently not as my college just showed me the receipt and it only cost her Rs.550/- They have tried to shove the membership (as said by another A/L member) but she has said that she won't be in SL to enjoy it. Sooo should work out Cheers

Thanks a lot for the info and advise GearHead... ya generally change the oil every 5000Km as opposed to the 8000km recomended by the A*W (Agents for Castrol) and I always replace the filter at every change of oil. I shall tell my mechanic to check on the stum too.. Once again thanks Cheers

mmmm what I understood was the risk is greater for users who run the 15,000 km's which is the recommended change intervals for oils like Castrol RS (Now replaced with EDGE) wOw this is news as we think that putting the highest oil and running is always good and we change it according to the times specified by the oil agents. If that's the case no use in spending RS. 6000 apx for a fully synthetic oil and then flushing it by 6-8000 km might as well go for the next level below I suppose.... in my case Castrol Magnatec... Question Would there be an issue if we down grade from Castol RS to Magnatec ? I know there can be issues as qulity oils clean the engine which in turn leaves the engine cleaner and needing re slivering of the bore etc... Could some expert pls let me know if it's safe to downgrade in my case....?

I got to say pretty much the same- Your job is not relevant here ….. I too was under the same impression before coming …. I remember the good times where things were NOT GREAT but livable…. Come couple of months after returning I really started to feel the difference…… It would be good to have all the skilled guys like yourself back….. but face it…. There is a certain amount of shit people can take…… As Arc Angel and Warthog said… we have a proud history …. Sigiriya with it’s marvel engineering so great that top engineers today can’t figure out how it worked.. etc…. But look at these morons we have now ….. can’t even do legislation to accept kids to school…. Like that idea of the * rail peeli* bumper I've been having the same idea running in my head...... unfortunately don't have a pick-up or anything in that line yet.... planning to but it's going to take some time with the crazy prices they ask for The next thing these tuk tuk guys use is after slamming the car they drive off saying to claim it from the insurance.... somehow they stay clear from big vehicles and Landrovers In the event others (tuk tuk) try to interfere when there is an accident - just tell them to shut the F*%K up - U have to use the language otherwise it just doesn’t work......... forget the tie and suit hell with that .... If u meet with an accident (with tuk tuk) get out and take pictures of the crash with your phone (if u have)- don’t bother talking to them after that start talking to them…. If they say you’re to blame (and if U know u’r not) tell them to file a case and u have already dealt with cases like this and you’re so and so is a lawyer /judge etc… It kind of works in most situations …..

Right on SeanD - Our people complain and grumble abt the cost of living..... come election time just give a bottle of arrack & a packet of lunch (to people like weed) all is forgotten..... Ya Arc Angle is right... the unit looks nice but have to speak to the guy reg. warranty..... I too work for a provider hence I got to know abt it through the guy who brought the unit for a demo. We did'nt go ahead with the deal anyway...

Hi MINIACE I've come across a unit and a person who wants to bring it down. It's from China and has provision for 2 sim's works well and all but still not been able to get a agency here to bring it. When I mean works well - U actually get calls form both numbers simultaneously. Great sound and visuals. Price is around 35000/- if u want I can get the details.
