  1. Yeah, I remembered that as well. It's near SLS Wellawatta.
  2. Trinity, Unable to view the pics before the modification machan. broken links?
  3. lol. This guy is probably speaking out of experience...
  4. That's a (horribly reborn) Lancer alright...
  5. Awesome set of pics Peri! Thanks for sharing.
  6. Oh man... "Papadam cars" By the way, That's not an Axio, it's a Chevrolet Sail - Manufactured in China I think.
  7. There is a 2.0L version of the GLS as well if I'm not mistaken. But the most commonly seen GLSs in the country use a 1.6L engine - no CVT. Apart from the engine and transmission differences, the GT has paddle shifters, bodykit + spoiler, 18 inch alloys and a multifunction steering as standard.
  8. I dont' have any of mine with me now mate. I gave away all my toys to my cousins + charity (except for a few with sentimental value).
  9. This one (the pancake flipping thing)? I had this.
  10. Saw one of these at Biyagama recently. A Lancer GT. Most of the 2008+ Lancers we see in the country are GLS which makes this pretty rare. 2.0L MIVEC Engine + CVT. Should be fast. Although this one has a "2.0 GT" and "RALLI///ART" badges on the trunk lid, the one I saw had only a red "GT" badge. Sorry for the huge image size. More pics here: http://paultan.org/photo/index.php?album=Facelifted-Mitsubishi-Lancer-GT
  11. I have no idea why I haven't come across this thread before. Just went through all your photos on FB. Love the angel eyes and the paint in particular machang. That's a nice ride! I'm sure I've seen her on the road a couple of times. Waiting for more photos...
  12. ULTRA <blank> <blank> TUNING Solution? All we can do is wait and see if this "solution" creates more AL threads starting with "Please help..." after people start using it.
  13. CK2, if you read the initial posts in this thread, you would have found the info you're looking for. Since trinity will not be able to reply for about 4 more days, he bought most of the parts from US @UTO P@®TS and EU®0 N!PP0N at Wadduwa. Try these two places and Delkanda.
  14. Love the new look machang! She looks great! So glad you decided to stick to OEM parts instead of messing around with the bodywork. Hope you get the rest of the things sorted out soon. May I share with others that the workshop manuals came in handy while installing the side skirts and finding the wiring for the fog lamps. Have a safe trip! Edit: Bro, upload a pic of the car (from the side most preferably) before the mod as well if you can.
  15. What's wrong with deciding to give a good paint job to a 78 Lancer? It should be just as valuable to Rameez as to how much your scooter is worth to you. If half the population in the world had that mentality, we wouldn't be having any of the nicely restored classics. rameez, Going for a colour change can be pretty expensive compared to a normal paint job. The A72 comes with interior panels which are painted (especially in the boot area) so you will have to strip down the entire car if you're going to do a perfect job. This would shoot your costs further up.
  16. Awesome! I used to be crazy over these! Thanks for sharing!
  17. Saw a red Lancer EX GT at Biyagama. The driver inside saw that my jaw dropped upon seeing it. :P Looked almost exactly like an Evo X.

@Magnum: I'm not sure if UniMo brings them down. Maybe someone else on the forum knows.

@trinity: Ya machang, it was pretty cool. I think it has a 2.0L MIVEC engine.

  18.
  19. Love this ad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R55e-uHQna0
  20. One of my favourite adverts. This created a huge wave for Honda and I remember reading somewhere that it took more than 600 takes for them to get everything to work properly.
  21. +1 on the idea, sadly I don't think it will be possible due to copyright infringement issues.
  22. It takes a lot to resurrect a vehicle in that shape and you've done an amazing job in bringing her back to life. Hats off to your effort. She looks great!
  23. This reminded me of this road between Hokandara and Thalawathugoda (Kalalgoda Road) which was widened and carpetted a few months ago.. But the utility poles are still on the middle of the road. Very dangerous at night as the road is not properly illuminated. Sigh! lol
  24. Do I see female undergarments hanging over the front passenger seat? Gosh... Some people...
  25. Spotted at Weliveriya. Funniest thing was that it was driven by a pretty elderly person who was "flying" at about 30km/h.
