Must be a damaged headlight seal due to heat. Better go to a headlight cleaning joint and remove the water inside and get it sealed properly.

Rotating hubcaps means spinners ?? ya i have seen those on Escalades with massive rim sizes. :D I have seen this sorta kit on eBay too. but its fixed to the fender and light is reflected to the rims. wont be this bright. But from the looks of this, i think these are not LED's. it must be a neon tube inside the wheel.

Well im not sure of any place where u would be able to get this done ... but if u speak to any tint shop in Darly road or Sun Lanka they might consider doi g it for u. And i have seen at Advance audio they are doing vehicle headlight tinting also. vinyl's easiest source would be eBay as u'd be able to get the exact color u want. As u mentioned ur allion has black interior i guess matt black finish or carbon fiber look vinyl would give the best appeal. :D

tiv ... painting interior panels wont give the original plastic look as i suppose. I have seen vinyl stickers (any color u can choose including carbon fiber finish) that can be pasted even over the existing teak panels if u want to change the color. So at a latter stage if u want the teak finish back its just the matter of removing these stickers.

Most cars there is an alarm to indicate the handbrake is on if u try to drive away. And evn if not it will be indicating in the meter panel :D

Wireless cam works just fine. And its whole lot easier to hook it up rather than running a wire all the way from the back of the vehicle. Only thing is you should not keep the front receiver to face direct sunlight. If it becomes so hot might burn the internal circuits. So ul have to buy a new cam.

Hi Aravinda,I got my self a 7inch unit with the wireless cam (guess its the same price) few months back. That time i had to clear it from the TRC and Defense ministry as well. It took more than 3weeks to get it cleared. I dont know now whether they have amended the rules of importing GPS units to SL. And if your lucky it will straight away come to ur home. But just in case if it gets stopped by the customs it will be a long process. If u can ask the seller to send the unit without the box and the manual. So you can try convincing the customs its just a reverse camera and a screen. If they find its a GPS, it will be difficult.Won't have to pay big tax. It was around Rs. 1200 as i can remember.

Hi Sylvi,In SL you can get the kits ranging from 11K upwards. But mostly what i have seen is temperatures 6000K and upwards. I bought a kit off eBay for Rs. 4.5k and it works just fine for almost 6 months now. Some ppl say these cheap kits wont work properly but if we look around the shops in SL and what they have, its the same kits with an attractive box.

My dad also got a Rexton for the permit. (Thats 3 years ago) and that time we had to insure it for the market price which was around 10 Mil and not the actual permit price. Dont know the rules has been amended afterwards.

Y bother getting these off Ebay?? any 3wheel or motor bike spare part joint would have these strips :D But i would highly recommend not to use these. These looks very cheap dude. Get a decent set of day time running lights instead.

"markings on the current belt" means the Belt part number ? There is no visual crack marks on the belt. but i guess its better to closely inspect all the pullys and the belt before replacing anything, since its very hard to see the belt when its fitted.

Hi hatharasinghe, When i pull the belt with hand i can feel its tightly tensioned. And theres no visual wear as such. If i spray little water to the belt, the noise stops for a while but again comes after a while. When the engine is hot theres no noise.

Dear experts, Im getting a belt noise from my car when i start it after long periods of parking. (cold start). After driving for 5 - 10 mins this noice goes away. Mechanics advised me to replace the Alternator Belt. I checked several places and they have only the Alternator Belt and kits which consists of (Aux Belt, Crank Pulley & Tensioner) as a bundle. Im not sure whether to replace only the belt or the whole kit. Can we check the Crank Pulley & Tensioner in good condition before replacing the same ? And for the scritcing noise the main culprit is the Alternator Belt only or the Crank Pulley & Tensioner? In a old thread i saw there is a spray that i could use to stop this noice. Could you please tel me the product name and a placee where i can buy this from ?? Appreciate your input ...

Tint is not just to darken the glass. The proper tint should protect against UV and should reduce head by limiting the heat enters in to the vehicle. Proper 3M products has been tested and proven with these standards. I saw an article comparing these cheap tints and proper 3M and other tint products somewhere. Anyway my point is, people spend around 30k for a proper 3M tint because it has its advantages. Not just the tinted look. Just my opinion.

LED strips will not provide a bright light. If u want a decent light output should go for neon lights. I have seen some places advertised on wow.lk, or can get off Ebay. But as others mentioned, its outdated now. If u really want fix some daytime running lights.
