BLu3HaZe
3M tint means better quality at a slightly higher price than when done by some random place with low quality film, and more resistant to discolouring

BLu3HaZe
It may prevent heating to some extent but trapping air inside is upto the design of the car and how airtight it is by that time

BLu3HaZe
Yea much higher than the cheapest stuff out there done or Maruti's but there are some which seem to strike a balance in the middle of price vs. quality, so a bit higher than that

toyota sucks
I tinted my nissan march ak12 with 3m 7yrs ago, It has shown no signs of pimpling or discoloring in this time (passed the 5yrs waranty they give) It still looks better than a cheap tint brand new, the other tints by this time start discoloring pimpling and peeling off, If u'r using the ride for long use the 3m it's better than having to tint it twise, But don't go for the cr*p s*n l*nka gives u it is not a brand recognised in other countris (just like c*ska) By the way what happened to the tint law? Killer-B
A local chap did the tint on my previous car, nothing fancy just a dark tint all around, cost me around 1500 and its been about 3 years and I still see that car around with the same tint, no discoloring whatsoever! I got the rear windscreen + the rear windows done for 10k a couple of years back. So 12k for only that seems bit odd.

So, if I get it done in other place, how can I identify the film used is genuine 3M?

So we'll be driving while our windows are plastered with 3M marks? Worth the premium I think!

No i think what he meant was its printed at the bottom of the roll of the tint paper. They'll obviously avoid using that part on the visible parts of the glass.
