Tax shouldn't be a issue. had a LS600 LHD when in US, moving to NZ didn't find much difference driving a RHD.

Any idea what the deal is with taxes payable when importing your own car from overseas (as in your situation: RHD petrol 3.0L or higher that's under 5 yrs old and has been registered in your name overseas for over x years)? I seem to recall the SL govt had some tax concessions for professionals who wanted to return to SL bringing their car with them.

not sure abt the taxes, I am going through the legal channels get all sorted, FedEx NZ is my shipper and they are working along with their representative in SL and I should have the final quote soon including the tax and port duties. will share once available. they are having bit of a challenge getting a petrol 3.0L car licensed to import as the allowed limit 2.8L for a sedan.
