How To Interpret A Car Ad In Sri Lanka

Crosswind

Recommended Posts

Didn’t have anything much to do this weekend

Also apologies if something similar has been posted before.

Warning: For the benefit of folks who are at a much higher intellectual state than me, this is meant to be a JOKE.

Here we go:

Showroom Condition: Full catloy cover on the body, Sale paint and interior cleaned with vim

Excellent condition: Owner is too stingy for a sale paint. Just cut and polish and catloy to cover up dents

Good condition: Owner is too stingy for sale paint or even a cut and polish. Car washed from diyawanna oya

Running condition: Get yourself a tetanus shot before you come to see the car

Excellent Engine: Noisy parts replaced with second hand parts from watte in panchikawatta

New paint: sale paint or shoe polish, depending on the body colour

New Tyres: second hand tyres from delkanda

Low mileage: Successfully tampered with the odometer

Fuel consumption X km/litre: Fuel consumption varies between X/3 and X/2 km/litre

Bodykit: All the corrosion in the undercarriage is hidden now

Beat Silencer: Couldn’t cover up engine noises so fixed a fart exhaust instead

All maintenance records available: Expert at faking documents

Company maintained: ‘Home and company’ maintained it with her sunlight and coconut oil

Used only on weekends: Too stingy to pay for petrol. Took the car out whenever it started gathering rust

Daily runner: Given for a cab service

Open papers: Changed ownership every month. Currently 176th owner.

Lady driven: Never serviced or oil changed. Radiator coolant in the wiper tank and water in the radiator

Doctor driven: Lots of semen deposits on the rear seats

Lawyer Driven: I’m gonna screw you and make you feel like I’ve done you a favour

Engineer Driven: Parts replaced by pieces of metal folded in to weird shapes

Company Owned: Parts taken off by drivers and replaced with worn out ones. Petrol tank is loose from removing it too many times to steal petrol.

Feel free to add. Cheers!
