u can try a viva elite brand new better than a alto...so far thats what think coz one of my friends brought one... pretty decent ride.

2nd hand markets would put u in around corollas, sunny, civic etc...

I think the Viva Elite is a good purchase as well, and it's based on a Daihatsu Mira I believe (and the new version too) !

Yeah I also think Viva Elite is a pretty good choice when comparing with Micro Geely Panda, Chevrolet spark, Maruti Alto etc. No Idea about the second hand market though, probably will be better than of panda and spark.

Viva would be an excellent choice.Fuel consumption is good,and the second hand market is okay..And it could be said as the best buy in its price range...Good Luck with your purchase

btw on the topic of the viva... u should also check the ground clearance...thats the only nag i got with the car...dats fully loaded of course. but if ur careful dat wont be a issue

If you consider ground clearance.. Viva Elite's ground clearance only 145mm. How about Suzuki A-Star..? (170mm) I checked the price before tax change. Was between 1.7 - 1.8M. Don't know about current price (may between 1.8M-1.9M)..
