bro can you give me specific dtails about modification stuff. i mean a gud palce and prices

how long will it take to a full modification. i need a body kit not a fancy one a deesn body kit with a nice looking spoiler. beat barrel, interior must be modified according to the exterior colour. need some grudges, and a powerfull sound system. how much shuld i spend for these modifications.

guys give him a break.. its his life.. anyhoo...

what i meant was if u know what u want... then u can get it done... if u buy a already modified car for around 14Laks if u dont like something u have to spend again..

here is the thing.. a good performance exhaust system proprely done will set u back around 50 to 75K depending on what u wanna do with it.. but since u want it just to sound like a race car u might want to try elcardo.. they will give u a good stainless steel loud exhaust.. again this might be around 15 to 25K.

painting a 2K full paint will cost u anywhere between 70 to 100K depedning on how much work the body needs...

a good sound system for u.. with lots of watts.. will again be 75 to 100K Pet#o should be able to sort u out..

the body kit and interior knick knacks u can probable negotiate and get it done around 90K

aloys: 50K

tires if u need new ones.. around 30K.

so baring all this in mind.. u should look for decent early 90's civic or a crx with a good engine... so that u wont have to repair it once u bought it, atleast for awhile.. the maximum u should spend is around 800K, keep the 700K for the above modification.. look at some magazines.. the internet to get an idea about what u wanna do..

i dont know any shops that do modifcitaion and painting in kandy... only know places in colombo bro..

this is what i can think of now...

Ok, Just to add, concentrate on GETTING A CAR first. It`s ok to get an idea about costs involved in "modifying", but don`t get carried away with the "moddying" idea initially. It will help if you get one which has the potential to easily find body kits, expertise and other stuff in SL (e.g. Starlet GT, Lancer CK2, Civic EG8, Marino, etc.. ). What ever you get, chances are that you`ll need to get some repairs done, so if you intend to keep it for a while, spend on getting things sorted and making the ride clean and reliable first.

As you keep using it you`ll get ideas as to where to start and how to go ahead with adding kits and stuff. Who knows, maybe you`ll change your mind and you`ll want something else before you even begin moddying. But hey, you might be even lucky enough to find one that`s already done-up to your taste as well. Good luck.

My advice:

Take a serious look at the Levin, which is currently in the classifieds

http://www.autolanka.com/ad.asp?ID=48446

Its AE110 so most of the parts will be available in every corner of the country (except for body parts)

You don't need to have a bodykit to make it look sporty. Looks pretty sporty by itself

Any makabass in any garage should be able to repair if u get any problems

It's 1996 so relatively newer compared to some other options u got

It will do well over 10kmpl

Its a sheep in a wolf's skin... but what the heck... u need the looks and the economy... so that's exactly what u gonna get

ck2 300- 10laks.. without looking at it cant comment.. but with any car.. u need to do a full serivce.. alignment.. and what not.. no matter what the owner says. so u have to leave aside 50K for that.. i say 9laks and that should be an ok price.. but i am not sure of the ck2 market.. mitsubishi experts can comment on the price..

i dont have any personal expreince with Dumi##a so cant comment.. but he is pricey.. thats what i heard..

300 - Ck2 for 10laks is actually a good price, I assume it should be a 96-97 make… but like charitha19 said in his post, cannot comment without actually looking at the car… so best would be for you to take it for a test drive and see it for your self.. If its in good condition and if its well looked after, then 10laks is worthy.. cheers

lol 80 year old grandmas in a 2 door car...how the hell did they get in?

Getting in wasn't easy. Getting out after having her bones rattled by my sports suspension for half an hour was even less so.

1) first check the certificate of registration to see any muck ups or whether its used on open papers

2) Check for maintainance records to see if regular services were done check what brands he has used etc to get an idea if the user is a cheapo or treats his car like royalty

3) oil spillage where the vehicle is parked and in the engine bay oil patches

4) Take alook around for corrosion common places such as around shutter beadings lower part of the doors, inside the doors the lower part running upto the corner where the hinges are.

5) Pop the boot and from the inside check for any damages from panel beating

6) Check in the engine bay for any damages to the chassis or any markings that might raise a red flag

7) Check on tire tread and worn out patern you might be able to guage if wheel alingment or balancing is off and sometimes even ball joints and arms replacement

8) Check how well the paint is some maka bass paint jobs dont last 2 years - if its a new paint check where he has got it done and what paint was used

9) Check if the indicators in the dash work, like fuel and heat etc and see if any warning lights switch on

9) Do a test run see if it feels and sounds right...notice if any unusual sounds come when you hit a bump or a pot hole, coming from the engine, check braking for any squeeking and check is gears engage without you having to muscle it

10) Last take your dad and go most times they know more than us just by experience alone

the veterans would prob hand down some more tips for you

it has only 2 seats nah.....

is there any other 4 seat convertables

Buddy boy you got to understand that there are no tailor made cars for all your requirements, especially since you keep changing your mind like a girl changes clothes .

Im pretty sure even Rolls Royce cant make a custom car for all your needs

A convertible 2 door 5 seater that does more than 10kmpl and has to be lower than 15 mil ?

Whats next you want a car with a jacuzzi and its own pub with a bar and a pool table ?

How about a Morris Minor Tourer? :D

lol would fit all his needs except for the riced out part and the YOM 1990 thingy
