yesss falks!m planning to by my first car.budget is around 12-13.5k.So i need ur peopls expert ideas.m looking for an auto gear vehcle.So starlet is the one on my mind.wt r ur suggestions.help plz

the starlet is a good start dude.. i say since its your first stick with a toyota or a nissan..

my suggestion.. Starlet, Nissan FB-13 or 14, a corolla AE100 (if lucky a AE110), a lancer CK1/CK2

correct me if im wrong EE103 mean it is a sprinter wagon isn't it?. i agree with you these cars are very reliable and solidly built cars and it can take a lot of abuse without to much trouble.

it comes in both versions mate.. the only different i see is the name and the badge on the front grill... mine was a corolla though...

Yes!! go for a Honda. You will get something more than toyotas.

Apart from the usual corollas, sunnys and starlets; here's some more u can think of.

Kia Rio facelift model (K-numbers)

Hyundai Accent (J- or K- numbers)

Japanese Alto (K- numbers)

Nissan AD Wagon (H- numbers or J-numbers)

Nissan March K11 (G- numbers)

Perodua Kelisa (K- numbers)

Ford Laser (G- numbers)

This is just to expand your horizons, because I'm personally a bit scared to buy cars which are too old, despite the fact that parts are available and the usual yada yada. No doubt that parts are available for old Starlets and Corollas and EK3s but do remember that they don't come free (and neither does labour). So if you want to buy an older car, do keep aside at least 50k for repairs.

Agree with Crosswind on that.. every second hand car i buy. i always keep aside some money for repair's,

and always had some hidden repair's on every vehicle..

not everyone loves a car and uses it with care..

so keep some money aside.. only after you buy a car.. you get to know its repairs mate..
