Hi friends,I am looking for a car 1.8 Million.I inspected a toyota Platz car(1500CC,Auto,VVTI Engine,yom 2000)with a well experienced mechanic from Toyota Lanka and his coment was"Mahaththaya,Car eke condition eka nam elakiri,Gewana mudalata watinawa,meke thiyenne Corolla 121 engine ekamai,Hondata petrol wada karanawa,Ganan tikak adu kara ganna balanna".Owner says his best price is 1.85 Million.Friends,I dont have any idea about the market price of PLATZ.Your cments please.Thanks. If I were you and had 1.8 million to spend on a car I would look at something a little more tasteful than a platz. There are a few much better looking options in that price range. But if you want a reliable car and don't care the least bit of how it looks for for it.

I wouldn't take that mahattaya's advice. Having 1NZ-FE (121) engine inside doesnt make the car any greater than it is. For example, if the guy said it has the same engine as Vios, will u jump up and down about it? FYI, Vios also has the same engine.

In any case, I have seen one or two Platz/Echo being advertised for 1.4 million or below.

U may also try AE110 "face lifted" which is far more reliable and having very good second hand value than platz

no civic vi-rs is away from this guys budget only civic vi is possible for 1.8 mill as other member pointed out i too think corolla ae110 or is the best option for the op because from his post what i was understand is he is looking for fuel economical car. :)

if i were you, i would buy a Suzuki Liana its a "reasonably priced car" :rolleyes:

or a 301 series Carina, or even a N16

im sorry but the platz look ugly for me it looks like, an elephant sit on the front and a bee stung on the back
