can anybody tell me the following about the Merc W210 E250 diesel

1. fuel consumption

2. acceleration (some sites mention it to be 14 sec while others say 9 sec 0-60mph)

3. if it is quicker than w124 E300 diesel

4. if this is a turbo diesel engine?

Had a 98 E250 diesel there are a few 250 turbo diesels around but very very rare.

1. Never checked the fuel consumption but can't be great as the car is really under powered.

2 again never tested but 14 to 15 might be realistic. Again It's a very slow car.

3 250 diesel is the most common my advice is to avoid it if power is what you are looking for. Will be better off with a 250 td. Better yet if you can stretch the budget go for a 210 300 td. That's quick.

1. fuel consumption is about 9-11 in city. and about 12-13 outside city. depends on how old the engine is

2. the E220 i drive is ok in acceleration. would have preferred it to be a CDI though. so E250 wouldnt be that bad. not sure of timings.

3. most certainly it will be quicker than W124 E300

4. AFAIK E250 engine never had a turbo planted on it.

Hi! An E250 Turbo diesel does exist. I've seen a maroon car over here. There are only a very few examples of it in S.L. it was more popular on the C Class.

You can check also check out the performance figures for the normal E250 Diesel from the link below. As I told you it's really slow.
