hmm sounds like the clock's gone nuts. GEt it checked out from an electrical place if it's a real concern. If it can't be fixed, you should be able to find a replacement.

Few other things you could do:

cut the power line to it so it's just a blank screen.

Get some tap and tape your wristwatch to it.

Tell people it's a special watch that is top sectrat code 44 information. ;)
