'hatharasinghe,

I have used all advertised products on fuel saving with very little results, But there is no effect on them for city running, only thing had given me is Acetone 1 Km for liter more. I want to try Tu lone recommended percentage dose on 90 Octane petrol try and give you the results.

I have doe the elector magnetic method which is a patent in USA to same specifications but there is a no change, on the fuel line closest to the injector track line

It is all waste of money and time.

Just like sylvi said it's all just a gimmick.

I met a guy on holiday once who worked for a fuel catalyst company and he was going on and on about how much more bhp I'd get if I fitted one to any of my cars.....once I dropped it to him that I worked for a performance tuning company so I spent most of my day running cars on a dyno he went rather quiet.

Best thing to improve power, drivability and fuel economy is a better grade of fuel not an additive. But this is of course more expensive than the normal common petrol. From the tests we did on the dyno we found shell V power to be the best but unfortunately I have yet to see a shell fuel station in Lanka.

A simple explanation of this without going into lots of depth is that the higher the fuel octane rating the cleaner the burn, so the ecu can advance the ignition timing more without pinking. The faster the ignition timing the more power is generated so when cruising the engine is not working as hard as it would be with slower timing.
