my eg8 got standerd 55w halogen headlight bulb.....its very difficult to drive in night..so im planing to upgrade 100w white bulb..is it ok replace without any hussle..or should i need to put realayy wire..any suggestions???

one of my mechanic told it is ok to put 100w without really..beacuse honda got more power..is that true???

so friends imlittle bit confussed to stab on this ..what do u think.. inned comment who did upgrades to their vehicals..plz reply..thanks..

any what about the prices as well..relayy and 100w japanes blbs.....

Do not believe mechanics you cannot fix high wattage bulbs for the 55 /60 halogen bulbs. you will end up with H/L Switch getting damaged or wires heating up some times.

There are special circuits designed for this type of conversion, They come with wiring harness and relays last time i checked from one shop they quoted Rupees 2500.00 for that set up without the bulbs. I think if you such little bit you will be able to get same for a low cost

Specs on that set up was up to 20 amps relays with wires for two head lamps.

They had bulbs from 1500.00 Rupees to 2750. White light.

If you buy bulbs wires and two relays then get a electrician to wire same it will be much cheap.

As filament bulbs get older their light emission does wane. Have you tried replacing them with new 55W bulbs? Also if the headlight lenses are discoloured you might want to get them cleaned up as well.

I agree to your post. Not only the filament bulbs any bulb will after 75 % of the life time they will degrade their original condition. There are other factors for discoloration of plastic headlight lenses due to cheap quality manufacture, for UV light exposed to them when you park them on out side.

Please note this above post is my experience and not to argue with you for your valuable post.

please dont blindly swap 100w bulbs on a circuit that is meant for a 55W bulb.. dont know who ur mechanic was but dont go to him again.. u need to upgrade ur wiring with proper relays for this upgrade. even so i dont know wheather ur original lenses are meant to cope with the extra heat that these bulbs will produce. and also the load on ur alternator and battery.. please consider these points before u do anything.

have u thought about upgrading to a good HID KIT.. u can do it ur self with the kits available today.. less heat less power consumption more light put on it.. however again ur original headlamps may need to be readjusted for this..

thanks to all...is there any requiment ot chk for really harness ???? beacuse in here costs rs2500 ..but saudi it's cost 1000..so im hoping to buy frm there..is there anything to chk befre buying that..???

and what about bulbs..plz telme good brands..???

im stabbed looked HID bulbus for my eg8..but normal H4 is not match...original bulb called H4-H ..this bulb base is smaller than normal H4 hid's...if someone got this HID plz let me know..I'll buy it..

In Srilanka some imported wiring harnesses for high wattage bulbs are high. But as I told in previous post go with a qualified person(electrician) you buy bulbs wires and two relays then get a electrician to wire same it will be much cheap for you.

Philips bulbs are good or go for genuine Japanese bulbs.

Try Motorcade at Bary Brook place, they sell quality stuff even relays, you can buy from them.

Why don't you try to align your headlights first? It will cost you about 350 but worth it.

I was in a similar situation some time ago & I was blaming bulbs, battery & also my age. But one day while I was aligning my tires I saw a new Prado doing head light alignment & I did the same for my car. Problem solved!

First, check your headlights are dirty. Shine become dull with the time. if so clean the headlights first.

my bulb is H4h ..its hard to find...do you know any places to buy...is it avalable japanese 100w bulbs in market..normally ther is taiwan's brand..is it ok to use????

Grab yourself two new, decent quality, bulbs. Grope around the wiring harness, make sure everything nice and tight and tickety boo. Give the lenses and all that a bit of a clean. Be a bit gentle around any reflector stuff. Pop in the new bulbs. Do an align:
