When shutting my car front two doors bit noisy ..I experimented with different ways to Identify what the real problem is( is it the beading or door pins or the lock)..So when I keep the lock open and shuts the door..like you hold the door lock open(not the little button on the top of the door for lock the door but the main lock of the door) actually it’s no sound it’s ook..when I release the lock and try to shut the door its give me the bad sound again..so my understanding is it give me that sound because of the door lock makes it the closing the door.So guys plz guid me..

I checked with the LP gunarathne but they saying me to replace the door pins, the sound is coming when the lock hits..and the door has move bit down bt I cant see such a problem??

So please help me..even a good place to get fixed my problem??

Thanks

If the lock connects with the latch at a different angle than it's designed for the door closing becomes noisy. You can try lubricating the door lock and see if it makes any difference but generally its a combination of worn hinges (door pins) worn door lock and ill fitting beadings. Start with the least expensive option and do the beadings last!

Well LP Gunaratne is not a bad place to go to, or any road side lock smith will do the job as well. If you don't mind a bit of DIY, get a bottle of WD40 take the interior panel out get your hand in to the door cavity and spray the door lock from the inside. You can afford to be generous because WD40 wont harm any other components.

But I do think your door has dropped a bit as well so the pins probably need to be replaced and the door adjusted from the hinges.

actually it cant see the door has dropped a bit down..bt from the top part or the section closer to windscreen the front facing part of the door..causes to leak water when raining..that door section loosely touches the body of the car

'ColomboRox',

How old is your car. What is the make?

Front doors are the doors mostly give trouble, due to constant opening. Open doors and lift them if there is a play on the hinges then L.P. Gunaratne's diagnosis is correct.

Remove the door hinges and get new pins replaced by giving to a Lathe shop. Then do the correct adjusting of doors afterwords.

Sometimes you have to change the door rubber beadings. At the same time check the door locks and door lock entering mechanical moving lever plates they can be wasted due to usage also.
