Suzuki Swift 2011 Auto Gear Issue

One of my friend imported Swift 2011 model directly from Japan few months back. From last week there was an issue with the gear box. When put the gear to D car is not moving. But the revere is working. He asked from few mechanics and they doesn't tell any reason for this. The A*W said we need to replaced the gear box. Please let me know the possibilities for this kind of issue and a good mechanic...

For a gear box..??!!! WTF... it's more costlier than a German..

I'm sure it cannot be a total failure.. you may need to find someone who is willing to take it apart and inspect it.

He showed the car to few mechanics. But none of them are trying to fix it. they are telling some nonsense. It should not be an issue with the gear box. Coz mileage is still about 50000km. Do u guys have an idea of a good mechanic???

Could be CVT belt if reverse is working. Does D work for a while and stop?

Reverse is working... D is completely not working...

today one of my friend has faced with the same issue.A*W people asked him 10 laks for replace with a brand new gear box(swift beetle,2011 brandnew-japan)

Finally he sortout the issue and had to pay 1.5laks for the Mechanic. But the mechanic didn't say what is the actual problem.

yes dude... the mechanic from Homagama... but his price is very high i think.

Well, since another person faces the same issue ... what was the mileage of your car? Have you ever changed the CVT fluid ?
